3. The Wedding Ceremony

"What do you think about the third prince of crestthane?" A maid whispered to another.

"Oh my God…I think he's do handsome and hot, like did you see those eyes…, those eyes were killing!" The other maid replied back with a slight whisper but could still be heard if all ears were kept down.

"The third princess is quite lucky and unlucky at the same time, but honestly any woman who die to spend a night with the prince….even I would love to be underneath him.." The first maid giggled and that irritated Sage but she hid in a corner watching them and listening to their conversation.

"But..do you think their marriage will be blissful? I mean you know how brutal they say the third prince of crestthane is." The first second maid asked the other.

"Yeah, I don't think so, but who cares the princess is useless anyways, she should be feeling lucky that a devil of a prince chooses her to be his bride. How stupid she is to the extent that she can't even dance…" The second maid replied and they both bursted into laughter.

Safe hands clenched into a fist and her blood boiled where she stood.

She decided that she didn't want to listen to anymore of their discussion and rushed to her quarters.

She slammed the door behind her and rested her back on it, then she fell freely to the ground with her hands wrapped on her legs and her head on her knees.

"I hate my life!" She muttered.

It sounded more like a whisper to herself and the tears began to flow freely like a rushing water fall.

"I'm sure no one cares about me and if I die…no one will care too.." Her lips curved up into a smile of mockery and she said sarcastically, "Why not go with death when there's no other reason to live.."

Her words out with a mocking laugh and her lips curved back into a mocking smile.

"Yes, I will marry the cursed prince of crestthane because I am cursed too…" she said and chuckled like a mad woman, but she immediately began to wept again but this time the tears came out slowly.

She just holed and prayed that the wedding would be in two days or more, so she could have some time to think about how her life would be, now that she would be marrying a cursed man..

Admist her thoughts, she dozed off right on the spot..

The next morning, Sage woke up due to the annoying sounds of the birds chirping.

She yawned and realized that she had spent the whole night on the bare floor close to the doors of her room.

Yesterday's events seemed to be all a dream to her, but as she got up she heard the maids and guards going about like something big was happening and she leaned against the large doors to hear what was going on..and to her dispere she overheard the maids taking about making the dishes perfect for 'The Wedding Ceremony'

Those words echoed in her ear and her world trembled as she recalled yesterday's events.

She walked to her bedside to check what the time was and suddenly a gentle knock fell on the door.

Sage turned to the door with her eyes fixed on it.

"Who's there?" She asked.

"It's Laura, my lady. I here for your makeover." Laura replied behind the door.

Sage sighed and responded in a soft tone, "Come in!" and Laura walked in followed by two other maids behind her.

Laura was Sage's personal maid and her closest friend except for prince Aaron of England, but Laura was always there for her whenever she needed her.

Laura walked over to Sage's bed where Sage sat with a long face.

She smiled brightly and gently sat on the bed facing Sage. "What's wrong, my lady?" She asked with concern all over her face.

Sage sighed and looked up at Laura, "It's nothing Laura, I just don't know what to do, and plus I have no choice anyways."

Laura held both her hands and with a bright encouraging smile she said, "You know I was told by my mother before she died to always stay positive I never lose hope." She paused to read Sage's expression and continued after realizing that sage was paying great attention to her. "I know the prince may seem quite devilish and evil as they say but I also know that there's a good in everyone but you just have to learn to live with the bad side and the decide no matter what. So I want you to take life as it is and accept what it's throws at you because it cannot be reversed."

Laura touched Sage's right cheek lightly and added, "Is that okay?"

Sage nodded immediately and Laura pulled her in for a huge. "Okay now today is the big day and it's time for you to meet your prince." Laura side and pulled her to the dressing table.

After one hour sage was ready with her gorgeous gown and stunning tiara.

Her light makeup made her look even more beautiful, her blonde hair brought out the beauty of her white skin and her eyes….her blue Ocean eyes could turn any man crazy just like that of how mothers…

Eyes that could make one feel peaceful and joyful….

State there at herself in mirror and she couldn't stop herself from remembering her mother.

A mother had died when she was just a little kid and although she was just three years old she was able to still a picture of her mother from her father's custody and that was what she used in remembering her mother.

Lara animate life till sage could decide on what heel to wear and just as a lot tiara and Sophia worked in without a knock with their faces full of mockery.

"Oh isn't it our poor Sage, looking so beautiful and ready to marry a devil prince, Oh how fun is that?" Tiara was the first to speak.

"Oh twin sister, just let her be, if she marries the prince he'll surely kill her over time when he chose to comes up." Sofia replied and they both chuckled.

"Has your mother sent you to come spoil my day even more?" Sage asked with a sarcastic smirk.

"Can't you build and everyone else with me and my future husband alone? I mean I know he's very hot, and you both grave for him but you just have to accept that…he's 'Mine'!" said continued, emphasize in on the word 'mine' to provoke her step sisters and then she cat walked out of the room with her glamour heels making click sounds as she walked.

She sighed after she had walked a long distance away from the room and she chuckled, recalling the faces of her naive steps twin sisters.

She sighed again and continued to work past the hallway.

She suddenly heard a masculine voice from a corner and wondered who it could be as the voice was one she had had heard before but she couldn't recall who owned it.

Before she could think further, the owner of the voice came into view from the corner and their eyes met.

See immediately realized that it was her grown and immediately turned around to leave but Lucian called her back.

"Princess!" He called.

Sage turned back and mental head down with a curtsy.

"Your Highness!"

Lucian walked to her and Sage couldn't help but wonder how one could have such eyes - bright golden eyes..

In the next second she was lost in his eyes but suddenly she felt a familiar hand pull away.

Lucian fell aback when he's bride was pulled away from him but the sevant behind him informed him that in Atlanta a bride was never meant to see her groom before the wedding ceremony and Lucian finally understood why the maid have pulled Sage away.

"She must be her personal maid." The servant behind him said.

"Hmm.." Lucian replied.

He dipped he's two hands into his side pockets and turned around to head to the main hall where the wedding would commence…
