"Mother!" I rushed into our cave to see my mother and younger sister with some other wolves in a dilema and that was when it hit me..
I sighted a large portrait with my father's picture framed on it and candles everywhere..
No…it does not mean that, it can't be. I said to my self as the tears drooped freely and I heard a sudden thud as my knees hit the ground.
"Mira, come over here." My mother's eyes were pure red and I figured that this must have happened within a duration of one day, just the exact amount of time that I was gone.
"Who killed him?" I choked on my tears.
"He was murdered by the pack of werewolves that came to attract us and they killed the general too." My mother replied.
I nodded knowingly and scanned the room for something–the keys he used for his cave in the mountains.
I grabbed it and set out immediately. Then I hurried as fast as I could to the woods.
I was just starting to realize how fed up I was, and how frustrating it all had been.
Every single time I remembered Liam, all I could wish to do was to give him a huge punch on his face that would be when he is tied in the hands and legs otherwise he would overpower me.
My speed reduced a bit as my whole body seemed to ache a little and I could feel the goosebumps coming in.
"You shouldn't take it all on yourself." That annoying monkey again.
"Why have you been following me?" I asked with a snort and an eye roll.
"Because you need a guardian." It replied.
"You? Guard me?" I snorted again and laughed out loud.
It just seemed funny…
"Where are you headed?" It seemed to want to ignore my questions.
"Like you don't have a clue." I set off again towards the mountain.
I sat with my legs wrapped together and began to meditate.
Surprisingly I didn't hear the silly monkey talk so I thought he must have left.
As I meditated and called upon the moon goddess. I found myself feeling a glowing presence behind me.
Turning around the light nearly got me blind and I realized that I stood face to face with the moon goddess.
Her angelic voice made my worries and sorrows exit.
"Don't let it take much from you, child. Go on and fight for what you feel is right." She said and instantly dis appeared into thin air.
I checked the weather and it already said time for sunset.
On my way returning back to Cridwan I sighted and heard the heavy breathing of a man.
I rushed to him to give a hand but then I realized that apparently from the symbol on his vest that he was one of the pack members of the pack that had attacked Cridwan.
He was unarmed and helpless so I took that as an opportunity and paralyzed him totally with my powers.
I planned to take him into a cave to get some valid information from him about the recent happenings.
I tied up his mouth to stop him from screaming and floated him to follow me as I headed to a cave.
"Don't you think you need a more enclosed or locked cave for this?" The monkey asked as it watched me tie up the hostage.
"You could at least help me out with this first." I replied with a sneer.
"Just saying…because he can be found easily. You know they will surely come back to find him." It's words were right and made a lot of sense but I didn't know the right cave with the right thing I needed that was mine.
And I didn't want anyone knowing about the hostage do I decided to stick with what I had.
"I'll stick with this one first." I said and tied the keg of the hostage.
He couldn't move or speak as he was paralyzed and also had a rope that tied his mouth.
"So what happens now?" The monkey asked and that question made me pause.
I honestly had no idea…
All I need was some information from the hostage and I had to first find the best way to torture the hostage to get him to speak.
I thought for a while and then I remembered how Liam and I used to scare off some wolves back when we were little.
Since wolves hated and feared demons, he would always change into his demon form as he couldn't change into his wolf form back then. Plus they wouldn't dear a fellow wolf.
I walked out of the cave with a smirk and returned back in as demon. I had changed with my powers to turn my appearance into anything of my choice and it surely did the trick.
The hostage's eyes widened in shock and he's agony grew as he tried hard to get far away from me.
I walked towards him portrays power and strength just like Liam as I had always admired him everytime he saved me from other werewolves..
I guessed that that was the more reason why he was called an Immortal because he was different from other werewolves and very mysterious.
"Tell me now, who sent you to Cridwan??" I said with a muscular voice as I had changed my tone too.
He tried to speak but the rope on his mouth didn't let him and his words came out as mumbling sounds.
I signalled to the monkey to take off the rope used to tie his mouth and realized that the monkey stared at with without fear..
'It must know it's me..' I thought.
It took off the rope and the man continued to tremble.
"I was sent by no one." He said with a shaky tone.
"Really?" I sneered and moved closer to him with cold red eyes.
"Do you wish to die?" I asked looking straight at him.
He shook his head in fear and began to plead.
"Please don't kill me. I am not sent by anyone, please." He pleaded.
Not buying his lies I snorted and began to control his mind.
First, I changed him back to his wolf form as what I was about to do would work better and be more severe when he was in his wolf form.
Second, I focused myself on him and began to control the veins in him with my mind, squeezed it tightly to give him an internal pain and he screamed in agony.
"Mira, quit it you could kill him. Remember we still need him for the information." The monkey suddenly shook me violently to stop my operation.
"But he does deserve to die." I said with gritted teeth.
"Then we'll never find out Mira. Just stop now!" Hearing the monkey's words I was focused to stop and changed back to my normal self–my human self.
"We need a better strategy, Mira. And we need to think of one fast. I'm sensing that somethings gonna happen very sooner." The monkey paused to look back at the man laying paralyzed on the ground with it's green eyes dark and full of meaning
.
"Something dangerous.." it continued.
Although I sensed it too, I just had to keep the hostage in untill he speaks.
