Best Friends

Two sports cars quickly entered the villa's courtyard before stopping in front of it, one black and one pink. A young man with short black hair, wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, got out of the black one. His build is almost the same as Eddie's but slightly shorter, and he is more casual.

A young blonde woman gracefully gets off the pink sports car. She looked young and attractive with short bangs covering her forehead, and her appearance was quite sexy with a sleeveless red cotton dress wrapping her tall but slightly plump body, which was combined with a short black skirt, long black stockings, and red high heels.

Eddie and Natasha walked out from the building side by side, and both of them were wearing formal clothes to attend tonight's event.

"Yo! Ed! Why are you wearing such formal attire?" Jordan inquired as he pulled his girlfriend over to them, but both of them were taken aback by Eddie's level of cultivation. "When did you break through to the foundation realm?"

"This morning." Eddie answered briefly. "What is the real purpose of tonight's event?"

"The new ruin on the border with Russia." Eddie raised an eyebrow. "According to my sources, the ruin is not the usual one. They heard many beast sounds coming from it, so we might face many fierce beasts inside."

"Beasts, eh?" Eddie muttered while nodding. "I have decided that I will join all of you to challenge the ruin."

"Are you sure about that?" Jordan seriously asked. "Your cultivation has just broken through to the foundation realm, and the minimum requirement to enter the ruin is the tempering realm. We don't know what kind of beasts we will face inside, and it will be too dangerous for you."

"Nath, you have to stop Eddie, or he'll get hurt." Jordan's girlfriend spoke to Natasha.

Natasha helplessly shook her head. "Leah, you yourself have known Eddie for a long time, so you should already know his character. Once he has decided something, he will never change his mind again. "You're right." Natasha then asked her. "How is your relationship with Jordan? Have you two thoughts about getting married?"

Leah actually sighed. "Nath, you know Jordan's character, and he's not a serious guy like Eddie. I know he loves me because we've been dating for six years, but he still hasn't thought about marrying me."

"Have you asked him directly about this matter?"

"A few times." Leah sighed again. "Every time I talk to him about marriage, he constantly changes the subject. His parents have helped me talk to him, but he doesn't seem to want to get married yet, so I decided to let the issue slide and wait for him to be ready."

Natasha nodded in understanding. "Jordan always listens to Eddie, so he should be able to convince him to marry you."

"No need." Leah refused outright. "There's no point in forcing Jordan if he's not ready, and it's fine for me to wait for him to be ready. By the way, Nathalie Kho will be attending this event, and I can't wait to see Eddie's reaction to meeting his half-sister for the first time."
