Gathering I

Nathalie Kho is Eddie's half-sister, and she is two years younger than him. Her face is adorable with wide eyes and brown pupils; her long brown hair flows down to her waist, with thin bangs almost covering her eyes. Her figure is slim and quite tall at 5′ 9″ (1.75 m), with a red A-line dress covering it, showing off her slightly brown skin and C-cup bosoms.

Vivian was taken aback by her daughter's question, but she also felt that Eddie's face was similar to hers and Michael's.

"The shape of his face is similar to yours, as are his nose and lips." Liem Kho confidently spoke. "His vibe and eyes remind me of someone."

Vivian tilted her head. "Who are you referring to, husband?"

"Michael Lie." Vivian froze in place after the name came out of her husband's mouth. Liem took her hand and rubbed the back of her palm. "I'm sorry, wife. We've been married for more than two decades, but I haven't managed to find your son with him."

Vivian shook her head slightly and smiled. "You don't have to apologize to me, husband. It was my fault because I left my son in that house, and I lost him because of my stupidity."

"Could that man be my brother?" Vivian and Liem turned to Nathalie. "Dad, you yourself said that his face, nose, and lips are similar to my mother. You also said that his vibe and eyes are similar to Uncle Michael's, and my brother is my mother's son with him."

"That's—"

Jessica immediately spoke. "Aunt, I asked you to accompany Nathalie because I want to discuss something with you, but we can't discuss it here, so you two can follow me to another room."

"Dad! Mom! You can go with Sister Jessica, and I will explore other areas." Nathalie left them straight away.

The three of them were already in another room, and Jessica handed a stack of documents to Vivian. "Please read them first."

Vivian was confused by that, but she immediately opened the folder. The first thing that caught her eye was a photo of the house, where she left her son 23 years ago.

"This house." Vivian took the photo with trembling hands. "I left my son in this house. I've looked for him there, but the owner of the house has moved, and I couldn't track down the owner's identity because the person's identity was deliberately hidden."

"Did you deliberately investigate this matter, Jessica?" Liem asked.

Jessica acknowledged it with a nod. "Aunt, you can look at the other things first."

Vivian took several other photos in the folder, and tears fell as soon as she saw the photo of her biological son, whom she had left at the house when he was just born. She rubbed the photo while quietly muttering. "My son."

Vivian then looked at all the photos one by one, and each photo showed her son's progress as he grew up. She gasped in shock when she saw the last photo, which was a photo of an adult Eddie.

Vivian and Liem looked at Jessica, who smiled at them. "The house belongs to my family, and the baby is Eddie. That night, we were getting ready to move to this city, but you left him in front of our doorstep. My grandfather had important business with the government the next day, and we couldn't delay any more time, so we took him with us to move to this city. Since then, we've been trying to find his parents, and my grandfather sent someone to our old house in the hope that his parents would come. A year passed, but no one came looking for him, and my family liked him so much, so my parents decided to adopt him."

Vivian trembled, and her legs went weak. Liem immediately supported her and hugged her. "My son... husband... my son..."

"Yes, your son is here now, wife." Liem then asked Jessica. "How did you know that your brother is her son?"

"A week ago, I checked all the participant data for tomorrow's expedition, and I felt that your daughter had a resemblance to my brother. After I compared their photos for some time, I was convinced of their resemblance, so I looked for a photo of the two of you. He didn't look like you, but he looked very much like Aunt Vivian. To prove my hunch, I asked my friend to analyze their facial features using specialized software, and the results indicated that their facial similarities were very high. After that, I asked Jordan Liem to investigate her past, and he found that she gave birth to a son." Jessica then took a piece of paper from the folder and showed it to them. "He used his father's connections to get her blood and DNA, and the test results proved that she was Eddie's biological mother."

With teary eyes and a shaking body, Vivian read the test results carefully, and she read them several times to convince herself that Eddie was her lost son. "Husband, he really is my son! I finally found my son!"

"Yes, you have found your son." Liem said it with relief. "Can you take us to see Eddie?"

"I've talked to Eddie about this, but he would rather not accept the truth because Aunt Vivian consciously abandoned him when he was just born." Jessica's answer made Vivian feel so sad, and her tears flowed even harder. "As you saw earlier, he left as soon as he saw the three of you. For him, my family is his true family, and you are strangers to him. Honestly, I want him to accept you, but his character is complicated, and we can't force him to accept you. If you want him to accept you, you have to approach him naturally and slowly. It may take a long time and hard work, but I'm sure he will accept you one day."

Liem nodded in understanding. "Wife, I understand your desire to reunite with your son, but what Jessica said is true, and it is natural that Eddie cannot accept you because you abandoned him in the past. However, you don't have to worry about that because I will help you to convince him, and I will try my best to bring him back to you."

"Please help me, husband. I want to get my son back."

"I promise I will bring you two together again."

After Jessica left, Vivian spoke to her husband. "Husband, please accompany me; I want to see my son even from a distance."

In another area, Eddie and Natasha walk together holding hands, but their mood is not good. "Ed."

"Forget it, Nath." Eddie turned to his lover. "I know you want me to accept my biological mother, but I can't do that."

Natasha moved in front of Eddie and took his hand. "Ed, I understand your anger and disappointment toward Aunt Vivian, but she was a victim, and she had no choice but to abandon you at that time."

"She may be a victim in your eyes, but it was her fault because she trusted Michael too much. She stupidly gave herself to him before they were married, and she decided to abandon me because of her mistake and stupidity." Eddie's tone turned cold as he spoke. "I already have a family who loves me so much, and my life will always be fine without her presence. I will never accept her, so you can stop discussing her."

Natasha suddenly got a message and read it straight away, but she laughed after reading the message from Liana. "Haha! It was unwise for Selena to say such things in front of my mother. Although my mother's character is like that, she loves me and my sister very much, and she will never allow anyone to insult us."

"What did that woman say to your mother?" Natasha immediately told Eddie about the incident at her house when her family had dinner with Michael's family. "You shouldn't have told your mother about that matter in the first place, and that cowardly guy now knows that Vivian has a son from him. If he investigates the matter, he will find out the truth, and he will come to me to disturb my quiet life."

Natasha pouted her lips and shook Eddie's hand. "I'm sorry, okay? I was annoyed because my mother hadn't given up on setting me up with another man, and she told me that she wanted to set me up with Jamie, so I was forced to reveal the matter to her."

"Forget it." Eddie then pulled Natasha away. "My grandpa just arrived, so we have to meet him now."

On their way back to the main building, they saw Liem and Vivian watching them from a distance. Eddie immediately ignored them, quickened his pace, and pulled Natasha with him.

"Husband, my son hates me so much." Vivian said in a sad tone.

Liem also realized that. "You have to be patient, Wife. We have to approach him slowly, and you have to prove your regret to him. If you can do that, I'm sure he will be willing to accept you one day. If I recall correctly, the girl beside him is Steven's first daughter."

"Yes." Vivian nodded. "Her name is Natasha, and she seems to be my son's girlfriend. How about we visit the Tan and Chen houses tomorrow? I want to know more about my son, and I can only get information about him from them."

"Okay, we'll visit their houses tomorrow." Liem turned to the main building. "The organization's higher-ups and young cultivators have started arriving, so we should join them now."

"Yes." However, Vivian suddenly stopped when she saw a car stop in front of the main building, and four people got out of it.

Liem noticed this and comforted her by holding her hand. "I'll protect you from him, so don't be afraid to meet him."
