Chapter 55: The Spirit Eye Furnace

At the pinnacle of the Furnace Core District, atop a towering high structure, stood a grand and majestic hall.

Surrounding the hall were four massive pillars, each crowned with a floating sphere of light.

These four orbs radiated distinct energies, representing the fundamental elements of earth, water, fire, and wind.

The interwoven glow of these elements formed a shimmering, slightly distorted vision in the air.

At times, the vision depicted a serene landscape of blue skies, white clouds, and lush green grass; at others, it morphed into a fractured space a dark abyss that devoured everything, evoking both unease and mystery.

At this moment, several figures stood within the great hall, each exuding a formidable and terrifying aura. Without exception, they were all full-fledged Wizards.

Nearest to the distorted vision stood a single figure Grand Wizard Helen.

His expression was grave, his gaze fixed upon the highest seat in the hall.

Unlike ordinary chairs, this seat was crafted from a unique material, with a mural embedded into its backrest.

The mural depicted a massive eye, its deep pupil barely open, as if observing the entire world at all times.

Grand Wizard Helen took a deep breath and spoke solemnly:

"Spirit of the Furnace! Activate the teleportation array! Connect the two worlds!"

The Spirit of the Furnace was, in truth, the core entity controlling the Furnace's magical formations.

To understand the essence of the Furnace, one must first discuss the Wizard's Tower.

Whether it was the black Wizards' Furnace or the white Wizards' Tower, their fundamental nature remained the same they were both Wizard's Towers, differing only in name.

And this particular Furnace was officially known as the "Spirit Eye Furnace."

At its core, this Wizard's Tower was the heart of the Furnace, with all other surrounding structures added over time.

For a Morning Star Wizard at the fourth level, establishing a personal faction was an inevitable step.

Some chose to form academy-like organizations, such as the Whiteheart Tower, while others built forces akin to war machines, like the Spirit Eye Furnace.

The primary purpose of a Wizard's Tower was power amplification.

A Wizard's Tower could enhance the strength of a fourth-level Wizard, and the more Wizards housed within it, the deeper its foundations, and the greater the amplification effect.

Likewise, the soul of a Morning Star Wizard would grow even more powerful under this magic-boosting influence.

This was precisely why, despite the Spirit Eye Furnace being a war machine, it maintained an exceedingly welcoming stance toward full-fledged Wizards.

The more full-fledged Wizards it contained, the stronger its foundations, and, in turn, the more enhanced the Tower Master's soul would become.

Some factions, like Whiteheart Tower, focused on nurturing their Wizards through an academy system.

The Spirit Eye Furnace, however, took an entirely different approach.

Though it housed a considerable number of full-fledged Wizards, very few of them were trained by the Furnace itself.

Most had been assimilated through war, and recruited from other factions.

This method had a significant advantage it allowed for rapid expansion without the need to train Wizards from scratch.

What took Whiteheart Tower's master five hundred years to build, the Spirit Eye Furnace accomplished in less than two hundred, catching up in power.

Yet, this approach came with a major risk.

Though wars had swelled the Furnace's ranks with full-fledged Wizards, their loyalty was questionable.

If the Furnace were to face a catastrophic crisis, many of these external Wizards would likely choose to leave or even turn against it.

Thus, nurturing one's Wizards and recruiting external ones were two distinct strategic choices.

Most fourth-level factions employed both methods simultaneously.

However, the Spirit Eye Furnace had chosen a more radical path, refusing to invest time and resources into cultivating its Wizards.

As a result, very few within the Furnace could truly be considered trusted aides of the Furnace Master.

To compensate for this weakness, the Furnace Master made a shocking decision he tore apart a portion of his soul to forge the Furnace's core, the Spirit of the Furnace, which now controlled all of its operations.

Only with this measure in place could the Furnace Master feel assured that everything remained under his absolute control.

Previously, Grand Wizard Helen had communicated with the Furnace Master, and now, the time had come to summon him back.

While the Furnace Master could return on his own, this time, he intended to bring back his full power. The sudden upheaval in the Emerald Island Great Forest demanded his complete attention.

Thus, the Spirit of the Furnace needed to unleash the power of the Wizard's Tower to connect the two worlds.

The moment Grand Wizard Helen's words fell, the eye on the mural suddenly closed.

A brief pause later, it opened again, its pupil flashing with an eerie glow.

As the light flickered, the floor beneath them illuminated with a grid of glowing squares.

Each square seemed to contain an unknown energy, radiating a pressure so intense that none dared to stare directly at them.

Helen's gaze sharpened as he commanded, "Everyone, step into the formation! Strengthen the array!"

The entire core district's Wizard's Tower, like a colossal pillar, shot into the sky, releasing a blinding light.

Years of accumulated energy erupted in an instant, surging like a torrential flood.

At the heart of the great hall, the elemental vision of earth, water, fire, and wind suddenly solidified, transforming into a twisted spatial corridor.

Through this passage, figures emerged one after another, their steps resolute, their auras imposing.

Among them were full-fledged Wizards as well as Wizard apprentices, each radiating thick killing intent.

These individuals were the warriors who had followed the Furnace Master into another world.

However, given the urgent crisis at the Emerald Island Great Forest, the Furnace Master had made a decisive choice to abandon all battlefronts and recall the majority of his forces.

After all, the coordinates of that world were fixed, and they could return to conquer it at any time. The upheaval in the Emerald Island Great Forest, however, posed an immediate existential threat if they couldn't withstand it now, there would be no future battles to fight.

Among the returning Wizards, one familiar and graceful figure caught Lynn's eye it was none other than his beautiful mentor, Rosalind.

This explained why she had been so difficult to contact lately she had long since ventured into another world!

Boom!

The massive force marched out of the spatial corridor, and the apprentices, fully aware of the protocol, did not linger in the hall. They swiftly moved toward the exit.

Only full-fledged Wizards were qualified to remain in the great hall.

Yet even so, within moments, the entire hall was almost entirely occupied by these powerful figures.

Suddenly, a sharp, tearing sound filled the air like the fabric of space itself being rented apart!

The once-stable spatial corridor seemed to encounter an unknown force, and cracks began to spread across it!

Grand Wizard Helen's face changed dramatically.

If the corridor shattered, even a third-level Grand Wizard like him would be torn apart by the chaotic spatial currents in an instant, beyond any hope of rescue.

At that moment, as tension reached its peak, a pair of pale, jade-like hands suddenly stretched out.

An overwhelming surge of mental power burst forth, instantly stabilizing the collapsing corridor.

From within the broken spatial passage, a figure slowly emerged, radiating a terrifying aura!

Draped in a black robe, he exuded an icy presence. His hood loomed high, casting a shadow over his face.

The only thing visible was his eyes void of pupils, filled only with empty whites, emanating coldness and ruthlessness.

His gaze swept across the room, and every full-fledged Wizard instantly bowed in deep reverence. The atmosphere grew suffocatingly tense.

For this man, stepping into the great hall, was none other than the master of the Furnace the Lord of the Spirit Eye Furnace!
