In the northern part of Orario, beyond the bustling streets of the North District, there was a plot of land adjacent to the main road.
A massive mansion, towering over the surrounding buildings, stood prominently as a landmark of this district.
From the several tall towers that rose from the structure, the mansion resembled a forest of spears. Its coppery exterior gave it the appearance of a blazing flame.
At the very top of the central tower, surrounded by seven spires, a flag bearing the image of a comical jester fluttered in the wind.
This was the base of the Loki Familia, commonly known as the "Twilight Manor."
After concluding the arena battle and bidding farewell to Shakti, Eiji followed Tiona through the northeastern district and arrived at the gates of this mansion.
Before leaving, Shakti seemed reluctant to part ways but ultimately offered her blessings with a smile.
Other members of the Familia who witnessed this scene understood Eiji's choice. Though they felt helpless, they accepted their defeat gracefully, knowing that their opponent was one of the strongest Familias in the city—the Loki Familia.
Under Tiona's escort, Eiji left the arena with ease.
In front of the Twilight Manor.
"Welcome back!"
Two guards stood on either side of the iron gate. Upon seeing Tiona, they greeted her respectfully, asked a few brief questions, and then allowed the two to pass.
Had Eiji come alone, he might have been turned away.
After entering through the gate, they arrived at the courtyard. Due to the limited space, the courtyard was built vertically, making it feel rather cramped. It was essentially a narrow space between the gate and the main building, with a few plants and flowers swaying gently in the breeze.
"Everyone! I've brought the newbie back!"
Tiona stood in the circular courtyard, cupping her hands around her mouth to amplify her clear voice, which echoed throughout the Familia.
At the same time, the entire Twilight Manor stirred with activity.
"Let's go!"
Following Tiona's lead, the two passed through the courtyard and entered the first floor of the central tower, where the reception room was located.
The interior of the reception room seemed to make the most of the limited space on the first floor of the central tower. It didn't feel cramped, adorned with warm-coloured decorations in orange and red. Numerous round tables, sofas, and armchairs were arranged throughout the room, with antique items like music boxes placed in some corners, giving the space an elegant atmosphere.
"Good work, Tiona."
Shortly after the two entered the reception room, a short figure walked in through the north door.
It was a male Pallum.
He stood about as tall as Eiji's waist, roughly 100 cm tall. His soft golden hair and lake-like green eyes made him appear younger than anyone else, yet he exuded a deep sense of rationality.
With a friendly smile, he approached the two, nodded slightly to Tiona, and then turned to Eiji, extending a slender arm.
"Hello, I'm Finn Deimne, the captain of the Loki Familia."
"Hello, I'm Eiji, a newcomer to Orario."
Eiji reached out and shook hands with the Pallum man who introduced himself as Finn.
Before arriving, Tiona had briefly explained the current state of the Loki Familia to him.
The Loki Familia currently had over fifty members, including three Level 6 adventurers and four Level 5 adventurers. In other words, the Familia had a total of seven first-class adventurers.
Most of the other members were second-class adventurers at Level 4 or Level 3, with only a few being third-class adventurers at Level 2.
As for Level 1 lower-class adventurers, there were none.
This was the strength of one of Orario's top two Familias—considering Orario was the center of the world, it could even be said to be one of the world's strongest Familias. The Loki Familia was so saturated with talent that they didn't even need to recruit new members.
Among them, the Pallum man Finn Deimne, the captain, was a Level 6 first-class adventurer, known as the "Braver."
For a Pallum to reach such heights and become the captain of one of Orario's top Familias was no small feat.
After all, the only notable racial advantage of Pallums was their good eyesight. Due to their short stature and limbs, their physical strength was far inferior to that of humans, let alone dwarves, who were natural warriors.
Moreover, despite his youthful appearance, Finn was actually over forty years old.
"Tiona has probably already explained things to you. The fact that you're here means you've made your decision, right?"
Finn's lips curled into a kind smile as he sought confirmation from Eiji.
"Yes."
"That's great."
Hearing the affirmative answer, Finn secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Truth be told, he had been a bit worried earlier. Although the Loki Familia was strong, if the other top Familia—the Freya Familia—made a move, especially if the goddess Freya herself intervened, their chances of recruiting this super rookie would have been almost zero.
However, it seemed that the goddess hadn't yet noticed this super rookie, allowing them to seize the opportunity.
"Then, without further delay, let's have the goddess Loki bestow her blessing upon you."
To avoid any complications, Finn decided to act swiftly.
Fortunately, Loki was currently in the Familia. Once a god bestowed their blessing, everyone in the Familia would become family.
"What's this? We got a newbie? Why didn't I know about this?"
Speak of the devil.
With a sudden, hurried sound of footsteps, a crimson figure descended the spiral staircase from the upper levels of the central tower.
It was a goddess with fiery red hair. Her appearance bore the inherent beauty of a deity, but her attire was far from divine. She wore a blue-and-black striped hoodie, paired with ultra-short shorts and black stockings, giving off a wild and unrestrained vibe, with no trace of femininity.
Though she was a goddess, she looked more like a male god.
Especially her chest, which was as flat as Tiona's, with not even the slightest hint of curves. It was clear that she and Eiji had no connection in that regard.
She squinted her eyes, which curved into crescent moons. Though her movements were frantic and erratic, there was a fox-like cunning about her.
However, the moment she spoke, Eiji was taken aback.
Why was she speaking in a Northeastern dialect?
When the goddess Loki spoke, for some reason, her words carried a strong Northeastern accent.
"What's going on here?"
Eiji's expression turned confused.
After a moment of thought, he realized the reason.
