Chapter 17; Leave my house !

She went and opened the door.

" Greetings Land la….." She was talking not until she realized who was actually at the door.

She stopped talking immediately not believing that Canary was just at her place and her smile faded immediately.

Canary looked at her with his handsome cute look filled with guilt in his eyes.

" What are you doing here ?" She asked with much shock.

" Lisa I …"

" Leave !" She cut him midway immediately before he could even finish his statement.

" Lisa calm down !" Canary protested.

" Isn't what you have done enough ? What do you want from my house now ?" She asked.

" I came to apologize" Canary raised his voice.

What he stated made Lisa speechless.

" What ?"

" Look Lisa, I am sorry for eveything. And setting you up." He finally confessed.

" Huh !" She chuckled and tears came from her eyes.

" So you really set me up. I was even just assuming" She mumbled softly.

" You were right, What you was lame. So I am sorry" He said.

" Okay" She dried her tears after seeing the honesty in his eyes.

" You can leave now. It's okay" She said turning to lock the door again when he stopped her by going inside her room.

" Canary ?" She called and turned to face him in disbelief.

" Lisa, You have to come back to the Company." He declared.

Lisa giggled with luck of credence.

" Are you now here to joke with me ?" She questioned.

" Lisa, I don't know if you know this but you are a great designer. I saw the sketches in your notebook. Anderson Group needs you." He said.

Lisa chuckled again and crossed her arms around her chest.

" Just a few minutes ago so you were seeing me as useless thing. And now you are asking me to come back ?" She asked.

" I know that. I've been wrong. And I said sorry." He said.

" Now I get it. You don't feel guilty of your actions. Now you just want to use me." She said and went to open the door for him again.

" Leave my house !" She commanded.

" Lisa, I know you are angry with me….Okay.. I will leave. But you have a big talent that I can't even explain. If you still wish to work with our company, You can come back. I promise I won't mistreat you again." His words managed to calm her down and he added.

" Please think about it." He said and after left her room.

He said and then left her room.

Lisa locked the door immediately after he was gone.

" This jerk, He thinks I will just go back to be tortured ?" Lisa asked herself.

Canary went back to his car and drove back to the company.

When he reached there, He went directly to the Designers department.

The girls stared at him with admiration as usual while he walked directly to Jenny's desk.

She smiled on seeing him and got up.

" Sir Canary, What brings you here ?" She asked while blushing.

The rest who saw him knew he wasn't happy from his expression.

" Come to my office right now !" He said and walked away.

Jenny blushed and organized her hair before leaving.

" Jenny, He doesn't seem to be happy." Richie said as Jenny picked her lip stick from the purse.

" Aren't you used to his cold face. But he is always cuter like that." Jenny giggled.

Richie shook her head and kept silent while Jenny applied the lip stick and organized her dress so well.

The rest who were watching her frowned.

" Does she think that she is going for a date ?" Nicky asked her friend.

" Of course not. But even if it were me too. I wouldn't just walk to his office. He is too handsome to believe." The friend answered.

Nicky smiled at her and focused back on her work.

Jenny went to Canary's office later and when she opened the door he was waiting for her impatiently.

When he turned to look at her she smiled.

" Sir, I am sure our plan pleased you. Did you call me for my reward ?" Jenny asked.

" I am doubling the money that I am giving you." He said.

Jenny blushed again when she heard this. " Oh my, It's…"

" Find a way to prove Lisa's innocence ." Canary cut her off which surprised her.

She couldn't help opening her eyes wide.

" What are you talking about ?" She asked more confused.

" You have heard me right. Now leave my office !" He said and went to sit down.

Jenny walked away in vexation.

" What's wrong with him, Why is he suddenly getting on her side ?" She asked herself as she went back to her Office until she met one of the old cleaners.

A thought came to her and she smiled.

She walked to the old woman and then put a smile on her face.

" Hello.." She said.

" Hello.." The old woman replied standing upright to talk to her.

" I am… Granny Can you do me a favor ?" Jenny asked.

" Sure, I can help you with anything." The old woman answered.

The Head of the Board was in his office when the door rung.

" Please come inside !" He said.

Jenny went inside followed by the Old woman.

" Greetings Chairman ." She spoke politely.

" Greetings." He responded.

" Sit down !" He said to them.

" How May I help you ?" He said.

" Mr Smith, I came to apologize for what happened today about Lisa. The assistant." Jenny started.

" Why are you apologizing ? It's not your fault." Said the Chairman.

" Mr Chairman, It's all my fault." The Old woman declared making the chairman to turn his gaze to her.

" Mr Chairman, Last Friday, I Ms Jenny. She gave me a package to take to her office but as you know old age. I mistook her office for Lisa's, The young assistant. Yeah, So I put the package in her drawer." The old woman declared.

The chairman was a little disturbed by this.

" What are you trying to say ?" He asked.

" The assistant didn't steal the necklace and the watch. It was my carelessness. I went to a wrong office. I am so sorry." The old woman apologized politely.

" Yes Mr chairman. It was a misunderstanding. It's all my fault. I am sorry" Jenny added.

The Board chairman exhaled with lack of belief.
