Aaron Parker looked down coldly, his eyes devoid of warmth as he glanced at Annette. Beside him, Quin Yasir smirked maliciously, crossing his arms like he was watching a good show.
Annette Zion bit her lip, mustering the courage to say, "I did it because of you..."
"Your karate." Aaron interrupted her, his voice as cold as his eyes. "You've learned a little but don't have the essence."
His harsh evaluation made Annette's heart freeze. Her face fell, and she struggled to find words.
"Compared to your opponent, you're far inferior," Aaron continued, mentioning Eleanor with a meaningful tone. "You're not on the same level as her."
His words were a profound humiliation. Annette clenched her fists, her fingertips trembling. She had hoped Aaron would see her in a new light because of the karate competition, but she didn't expect...
"To learn karate, you shouldn't be doing it for others, but for yourself,"
Aaron added icily, before turning away and leaving.
