Eleanor's lips curled into a smile as she patted her younger brother's shoulder.
"Of course it's good. What about you? Did you study hard?"
Charles's mouth twitched, and he looked helpless and sad. "Yes I did... but in the third year of high campus, no matter how much you study, it feels like it's never enough."
While they were talking, there was a sudden sound of footsteps at the door. It turned out to be Amelia and Catherina, who had just returned from shopping. Seeing Eleanor, both of them stiffened.
"Why is she here?" Amelia glanced at Theodore, her voice filled with dissatisfaction.
"Eleanor is still our daughter and a member of our family. This banquet is for everyone..." Theodore frowned and explained gently.
Amelia's eyes turned cold as she cut him off sharply, "A married daughter shouldn't come back to her parents' home without a good reason."
