Eleanor ignored them and continued walking straight ahead, as calm as ever.
“Darn it, is she deaf or something?” one of the elite-class students grumbled, clearly annoyed by Eleanor's unbothered demeanor.
“Hey, if you go any further, you’re heading into Cloud Class territory! You don’t belong there!” someone shouted after her, their tone harsh and unyielding.
Just then, Abigail appeared from the other end of the hallway, having just returned from the restroom. When she saw Eleanor, her expression soured, her eyebrows scrunching together. She clenched her fists and glared at Eleanor with gritted teeth.
Recently, her home had been thrown into chaos. Her brother Mathew was in jail because of Eleanor, her father hadn’t had a good night’s sleep in days, and her mother was so upset she had to be admitted to the hospital. Yet, here was Eleanor, appearing calm and indifferent, as if all was well. How could she be so unruffled? Eleanor was the cause of all their misery!
