Eleanor felt a strong urge to locate the light switch first. Navigating a dark space was second nature to her, but she knew she needed light to thoroughly assess her surroundings. Her hands glided along the walls, her fingers searching for the familiar plastic plate of a switch. Yet, after several moments of searching, she found nothing.

Frowning, she stepped back and surveyed the dim room, her sharp eyes narrowing in thought. If it’s not on the wall, then where could it be? she mused.
