Chapter 518 The Audition that Shattered Masks

Terry Abigail noticed Eleanor standing motionless, and once again, the atmosphere froze.

A tense silence settled over the room.

Terry’s expression darkened as she shot a sharp glance at her. “Susan, what’s going on with you? Are you not feeling well?”

Her voice was laced with concern, but her eyes gleamed with something colder—something calculating. With a sigh, she turned to the director, her tone smooth and distant. “If you really can’t handle it… then forget it. Maybe being away from the entertainment industry for so long has dulled your edge.”

Then, to Director Landon, she added with faux regret, “I only suggested bringing Susan in because she had acting experience, and the role of Collette was still open. But I never expected this…”

Her words, though soft, rang loudly with implication.

Director Landon didn’t respond immediately. His brows knit together, his expression unreadable—disappointed, maybe, or perhaps just... puzzled.
