Grim felt somewhat relieved after hearing what the woman had said. Truthfully, if he could, he wouldn't want to choose either of the two options. If given a few more days, he believed he would eventually be able to make a decision.
However, unlike Grim, the woman herself was not pleased with what she had said. To her, the sooner Grim made his decision, the sooner she would be freed from the task Pandora had assigned her. Yet, she also understood that there was no point in forcing Grim to decide too quickly. After all, one of Pandora's instructions was to grant Grim what he truly desired. And no true desire is born in an instant—it takes time for someone to fully understand what they truly want.
Even though the woman had heard from Pandora that Grim wished for an eternal death, she couldn't help but wonder if that was really what he wanted. With that thought in mind, she ultimately decided to give Grim some time until he could truly comprehend his own desires.
"Even though I would like to keep you here with me a little longer, I cannot do so. If I were to, I might inadvertently interfere with you. That is why I will send you away from this place."
She then moved her fingers, and from where he stood, Grim could hear the sound of a door shifting. He turned toward it—it was about 100 meters away. The door was massive, towering at approximately 15 meters in height and around 7 meters wide.
Slowly, the door began to open, producing a deep, resonant sound. As it opened wide enough, Grim could see someone standing there. Due to the great distance, he couldn't discern whether it was a man or a woman.
The figure started walking toward them. After a while, the person finally reached their location, allowing Grim to see them clearly. It was a man—one who carried an air of elegance, dressed in a black servant's attire. Earlier, due to the distance, Grim had perceived him as small, but now that he was closer, it was clear that the man wasn't small at all.
The man stood between 180 and 185 cm tall. His build wasn't too large or too small—perhaps one could say he had the kind of ideal physique most people desired.
"What are your orders, Goddess?"
The man bowed his head toward the woman. It was evident that he deeply respected her. Though he might have been a servant, the respect he held wasn't the kind produced by a mere master-servant relationship.
It was a form of reverence—pure and unwavering. Not a temporary sense of obligation, but a sincere devotion. To this man, the woman before him was the most revered figure, even more than the highest of gods. Serving her was the greatest blessing of his life.
"Do you see the man standing beside you?"
"Yes, I see him, Goddess."
"Take him to the place that has been prepared."
"Understood, Goddess. Please follow me, sir."
The man turned and began walking away from the chamber.
Grim, however, remained where he was, still uncertain about what was happening. Though the man had told him to follow, Grim had no idea where they were going.
As a result, he stood motionless. Noticing that Grim hadn't moved, the man stopped and turned back to look at him.
"Is something wrong, sir? We are heading to your next place of residence."
In other words, they were going to the house or room that had been arranged for Grim during his time in the underworld.
"A place to stay?"
Grim glanced at the woman. He knew she had given him time to think, but he hadn't expected her to prepare a residence for him.
"I thought it would be easier for you to make your decision in a pleasant place. That's why I arranged accommodations for you."
Indeed, she had instructed her servant to prepare a place for Grim. However, it wasn't something she had originally intended to do. It was only after Pandora requested it that she complied.
"I see. Thank you very much. And… may I know your name?"
The woman simply smiled at Grim before replying,
"There's no need for me to introduce myself. Once you leave this room, you will soon learn my name."
"Alright, if you say so."
Grim saw no reason to press further. After all, she had assured him that he would find out soon enough. He then started walking, following the man out of the vast chamber.
"I can't wait to see what an imperfect human like you will do."
As the chamber doors closed once again, the woman turned her gaze toward a crystal ball beside her. Within the crystal's reflection, the face of a woman appeared—long, straight blonde hair framing her expressionless features.
Meanwhile, Grim continued walking behind the man. Since they had left the chamber, neither of them had spoken a word.
Curious about the man, Grim decided to ask,
"May I ask you something?" Grim inquired softly.
"What would you like to ask?"
"This question might sound a little rude, but I hope you won't take offense. Are you… human?"
Grim could sense the man's aura, but within it, he also detected something else—an aura that was calm and radiant. It was the same presence he had felt from Pandora and the woman earlier. In other words, he could sense the aura of the gods within this man.
*"I am human,"* the man answered calmly.
*"I see."*
