"What are you doing here?" Lunneta could feel her heart jump. She quickly locked her room door before facing the boy staring at her with amused eyes. Lunneta's eyes rested on his handsome face, taking a good look at his outfit. He really looked handsome today. He was wearing a black outfit, and his eyes seemed to be softly glowing.
"No need to be tense, Luu," Kai whispered tenderly as he placed his hands on her waist, dragging her towards him.
"What do you think you are doing?" She asked, pushing him away from her.
"You didn't wear my locket," Kai looked at her neck, his eyes darkening. The room got darker and colder as he stared at the little girl in his hands.
Lunneta felt a little guilty with his stare, but so what? "It doesn't go with my outfit," Lunneta finally said, raising an eyebrow.
Kai looked into her sparkling and clear eyes and felt the urge to take a bite. He bent his head, kissing her directly. Lunneta shivered as his lips touched her. She didn't know whether she should push him away or draw him closer, her eyes closing in pleasure. After a while, he released her, her eyes red and misty, tears in them. He felt satisfied.
"Happy Birthday, Luu," he whispered into her ears, biting her earlobe which turned red.
She smiled widely at his words. Kai felt mesmerized by her smile; he couldn't shift his eyes away from her stunning beauty.
"I need to go now. I can feel mother beginning to get restless at my disappearance."
"Your birthday gift," Kai felt a little warm as he stared at the ethereal beauty that was his.
"Sit down," he sat her down in front of the vanity table, squatting down, he grabbed her legs.
"Stop... What are you doing?" Lunneta tried to withdraw her legs but she couldn't.
"Stay still," he ordered coldly. Lunneta kept still at his words and watched him bring out a short thin chain. He hooked it around her leg, kissing her ankle.
"A leg chain?" Lunneta looked at Kai surprised as she tried to get used to the feel of something on her leg.
"This... Mother will surely notice. It could get me in trouble," Lunneta didn't want to remove it, but she just had to. No matter how she tried, the chain wouldn't move.
"This is a treasure I found in the southern sea. It is said that whoever wears it won't be able to remove it for a thousand years," Kai told Lunneta smugly, his eyes arrogant even though he was kneeling, his aura not diminishing.
"I want you to always remember that you are mine," Kai stood up, smirking as he saw her blushing face.
"Your Highness," Opie's voice sounded from outside. She tried to open the door but found out it was locked.
Lunneta looked at Kai in surprise. Even though Opie knew certain things about her, she couldn't let her see Kai here.
"Hide," she whispered to Kai, who just looked at her haughtily, sitting properly on her sofa.
Ignoring him angrily, she walked towards the door. "Hold on," Lunneta muttered. She opened the door a bit, not letting her maid pass or see through.
"Your Highness, the Queen is looking for you," Opie informed her mistress, passing the dress to her.
"Tell mother I'll be there in a minute," Lunneta said quickly, shutting the door close.
"You need to leave. I have to put on my dress," Lunneta told him shyly, her cheeks blushing red.
"I want to see how you will look in the dress," Kai teased her, crossing his legs.
"Skirt chaser," Lunneta accused, refusing to look at him.
"What is there to see?" He said, pointedly looking at her chest area.
"They are too small," he said after a minute, earning a glare from Lunneta who covered her chest with both hands.
"What do you know? I am the standard figure for beauties all over the world," Lunneta said haughtily, raising her chin and puffing her chest out.
"Yes, yes, Your Majesty," Kai gave a mocking bow, but it was true. Lunneta was named the most beautiful woman in Crescent Moon.
Kai's lips stood up on seeing how stressed out she looked. He knew if he stayed there a second longer, she might burst in anger.
"I'll see you later," he tapped her bum, walking out of the room like he owned it.
"You…" Lunneta's mouth opened in shock as she watched him walk out. She could only stamp her feet in anger, but the smile on her lips said otherwise.
"What in the Gods' name," Orion screamed in a small voice, a hand to her mouth as her chest heaved fearfully. She noticed a dark aura walking out of the princess's room, although she couldn't see anyone.
"That was surely a dark aura," Orion shivered as she flew back to the banquet, her body still shivering in fear.

Breeze blew over, the lotus leaves at the side swayed, releasing a sweet fragrance into the air. Lunneta stepped onto the platform, her white gown shimmering as she turned around to look at the people. Her white hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, framing her small face that seemed made from the finest porcelain. She stood still, her two hands placed in front of her, a majestic aura booming out. This made the crowd nod their heads in satisfaction. This was their princess and heir to the Light Crescent Moon.
"Thank you, everyone, for gracing my eighteenth birthday party," she spoke softly but loud enough that everyone heard her.
The king stood beside her with a proud smile on his face. "Today, in honor of the princess's birthday, we would be holding a tournament. Anyone can sign up to join. The winner will be given ten thousand gold and the ancient scroll of the sword dance."
The youths began whispering, everybody filled with vigor at the mention of the ancient scroll. "This scroll is said to improve fighting techniques and power, causing one to break through to another level," a young man said to his friend excitedly.
A young boy sat in a corner, his handsome face cold. Even though he tried to merge with the shadows and sat still, a lot of girls turned their heads to look at him, bowing hastily.
"Do you think the Light Crescent Clan intends to find a husband for their princess?" The man at his left asked his wife.
"Huh…" the woman Delian sneered as she looked at the figure ahead with hate. "My son has to get married before her child."
"It's not a competition, darling. He hasn't even found his soul mate," the man Kyros looked sideways at his wife, then at his son's cold face.
"How is he going to get a wife when he keeps his face like that all year round?" Kyros said, shaking his head.
"Although I heard that there may be an engagement with the son of the high Ambassador to the Western region of Light Crescent," Kyros told his wife, who frowned in response.
"Ehhhh… Why is the air colder?" Delian said, dragging her shawl closer to her. Kai's face darkened at Kyros's words. 'Ha... In their dreams. She was his.'
"Are you joining the tournament?" Kyros asked his son, who nodded.
"I forbid you to join. What! You also like the little princess?" Kai said nothing but gave his mother a pointed stare, his eyes growing colder.
Delian shivered in fear at the stare. "What… You can go ahead if you want to," she said hurriedly, almost having a meltdown.
"Kai, must you go against your mother every time?" Kyros looked at his family and couldn't help sighing again. This son of his didn't like talking and would stare at others coldly all day long.
"You can join the game for fun, but don't think otherwise," Kyros told his son coldly. His son only looked at him before removing his eyes, his aura rivaling his. The boy was just too arrogant.
