In an apartment on the top floor of an apartment building located half a kilometer away from the largest university in the city of S, a 22-year-old young man sleeping in his bed suddenly opened his eyes.
Immediately after opening his eyes, every sweat pore on the young man's body expanded as he stared up at the ceiling with his eyes wide open and took deep breaths.
A few minutes passed as the young man's chest rose and fell rapidly. Finally, the young man sat up quickly and checked his left arm.
After checking his left arm, his stomach, his right foot, and many other parts of his body, the young man named Zane Ashen could not suppress the urge to curse out loud.
"Fuck this fucking nightmare! I don't know if I'm fucking dreaming or fucking real! Wuh!"
After swearing and relaxing, Zane took another deep breath and pressed his chest up and down. He felt tired, as if he hadn't slept all night but had worked out. Of course, this feeling was only psychological. This wasn't the first time in his life he'd had a realistic dream. She was sure she would come to after a shower.
He forced himself to forget the dream he had just had and got out of bed. Just then, the morning alarm went off.
Zane thanked God when he realized he woke up a few minutes before the alarm. His sleep reflexes had saved him from being mauled by stupid zombies for a few more minutes in that damnably realistic dream.
After letting out the polluted air one last time, he took off his sweat-soaked clothes, threw them in a corner and went to take a shower with a towel on.
Since his sister, a high school student, would not be home at this time of day, he was free to walk around in a towel in the house that belonged only to the two of them.
...
Ten minutes later, the doorbell rang, and Zane put on a towel and went to answer the door.
The person he saw at the door was the same person he had expected to see.
Overweight and bespectacled, the smart kid from school. Seeing him like this, he remembered something he had seen in a dream, and the corners of his mouth rose. Indeed, his friend has the design of a character in a zombie movie who sacrifices himself at the beginning of the movie to save others.
The chubby, school-smart character is cornered by a horde of zombies after adventuring with the main character and his friends for a while.
All this time, he manages to warm up the atmosphere with his occasional jokes, but he is not liked by the pretty blonde girl, as he is constantly holding the team back because of his weight.
This is exactly why the screenwriters included him in the movie in the first place. His self-sacrificing death not only makes the movie more serious and action-packed, but also corrects the character of the pretty girl with personality problems.
So towards the middle of the movie, when the main character's group of survivors is trapped in a building by a horde of zombies, the overweight character puts aside his frivolity and, without hesitation, sacrifices himself to save his team.
Unfortunately, in his dream he had gone off script and led the whole group to their deaths...
As Zane was lost in his thoughts, his overweight friend named Gus looked at his smile, blocked his nipples with his arms, and said, "Hell No!"
"Hahaha!"
Zane was about to laugh at his behavior and invite him inside to wait for him to get ready when his expression changed dramatically when he saw the duffel bag Gus was holding.
After telling Zane that his overreaction to the duffel bag wasn't funny, Gus continued. "Guess what your brother decided today."
Zane's breathing slowly began to quicken again as he unconsciously mumbled.
"I decided to start sports to add color and girls to my university life."
"decided to start sports to add color and girls to her university life"
When Gus heard Zane say the sentence at the same time as he did, his voice trailed off, and he looked at Zane with a disgusted expression.
"Dude, this is weird."
Zane felt like he was experiencing déjà vu for a while.
After a while, he came back to himself with a nudge from Gus, but he still felt nervous.
The way Gus arrived at his house and the duffel bag he was wearing were just like he had seen in his dream.
"You go to school alone today, Gus. I'm not feeling well."
"Oh come on. At least tell me the number."
"What number?"
"That trick where you finish my sentence before I do. Was it some kind of psychological wizardry, or did you just guess it? Don't get me wrong, I won't use it to steal your cute sister's attention or anything, you can trust me haha..."
After Zane slammed the door in the face of his rambling classmate, he ignored the doorbell, sat down on the couch, and started to think about the uncomfortable feeling he had just had.
What Gus had just said was the same as in the dream. Realizing this, he tried to remember more of what had happened in his dream, but another uncomfortable feeling came over him and he began to forget the dream.
Even though Zane was not a believer in the supernatural, he instinctively knew that something was strange about this dream. So he calmed down for a while and tried to remember the dream. Until everything he was trying to remember about the dream completely disappeared.
Sitting on the couch, having forgotten most of the dream, he thought about the fragments of images he had gotten.
Quite realistic.
Detailed, as if they were not a dream but memories from the past.
Focusing on this feeling, Zane closed his eyes, and five scenes appeared in front of him, one after the other.
