And finally, he remembered the last fragment of the dream that remained in his mind.
This last and fifth dream fragment was longer than any of the other dream fragments, but the type of information it provided was slightly different from what he had imagined.
In the fifth dream fragment, Zane was hiding alone on a street corner, trying to suppress the sounds of his deep breaths forcefully.
As the seconds ticked by, Zane could more clearly feel how tense he was in the dream.
Fortunately, the hiding didn't last too long. Zane, in the dream, heard an explosion coming from the far corner of the street, and at the same time hundreds of footsteps rushed toward that corner of the street.
A few seconds later, Zane lost all his strength, slid off the wall he was leaning against, and sat down on the ground.
And at the same moment, the event that had caused Zane to wake up this morning, terrified from his dream, took place.
As Zane slid off the wall and sat on the floor, his foot hit a bottle on the floor. In the dream Zane didn't care because the scary things were already heading towards the sound of the explosion.
Unfortunately, he was wrong.
As he knocked the bottle over with his foot, one of the street-facing windows of the building across the street suddenly shattered with a loud bang, and a small humanoid monster growled and jumped at Zane from inside.
Before Zane had a chance to react to the sudden development, the humanoid monster's fangs clamped down on his throat and tore his head from his body with a loud snap.
Zane awoke from his thoughts to find himself sweating, just as he had this morning. Not as sweaty as this morning, of course, but he was sure he was experiencing the same fear again.
After sitting in a daze for a while, he opened his phone's notes app and wrote down everything he saw in an organized way.

Notes
Dream 1: Gus came to my house in the morning.
Dream 2: About half an hour or an hour later, as we were leaving the house, there was the sound of an accident behind us...
Dream 3: At 4 PM I was shopping at the mall...
Dream 4: I was watching the city at midnight...
Dream 5: I hid in an alley...
Important information
1-Everything must have started at 4 PM
2-I haven't slept for days and I'm hungry. There may be a food shortage.
3-The power will probably go out soon.
4-There were many burning buildings in the city. It is possible that it was caused by an electrical fault. And because no one put out the fires, the fire spread to most of the city.
5-My dream may be just a dream, but I have a bad feeling about it...

After Zane finished taking notes, he looked at the clock and frowned at the next moment.
It was already 3:42 and his sister still hadn't come home.
Zane made a quick decision to get up from the couch, put all the easily consumable food he could find in the kitchen into a bag, packed some items that might come in handy in a real apocalyptic scenario, and left the house within five minutes.
Zane anxiously drove to the underground parking lot where he parked his bike while Mornel was still in class because of the surprise party that two of his classmates had organized for him.
The last bell rang and everyone went home. Mornel was grinning, imagining what kind of surprise his brother had prepared for him, when suddenly two of his girlfriends intercepted him in the school hallway.
Mornel was quite beautiful with long black hair and soft white skin, but despite her young age she didn't have many friends because she always had lazy fish eyes and wore loose dresses and didn't talk much.
So the only two friends she had were the ones who threw her a surprise party.
Mornel told her friends that she couldn't be late, but that didn't stop them from dragging her into one of the school's club rooms.
The two girls smiled at each other before grabbing their friend, who was a little shorter than their peers, by the arm and dragging her away. The smile made Mornel feel at first that something was not right, but she was not rude.
As the clock struck 3:45, Mornel looked at herself in the mirror while eating a plate of cake. Some of her hair was styled like a mushroom on top of her head, while her cheeks were unnaturally pink. Her under-eyes were darker than usual, and she had black lipstick on her lips.
Meanwhile, her two friends standing to her right and left were smiling and looking at her masterpiece.
A blonde-haired girl named Lili was looking at Mornel and felt as if something was missing, and suddenly, out of her school bag, another makeup item appeared.
When Mornel saw her behavior, she whined, "that's enough!" and, in a swift move, jumped out of her chair and rushed out of the room.
Lili and Zeri immediately tried to catch her, but it was impossible because of her short stature and large sword. After a few seconds, Mornel had already disappeared around the corner of the corridor.
After staring at their friend's disappearing back for a while, Lili and Zeri decided to give up the chase and pick up the mess they had left behind.
After Mornel left the school gates, she decided to get rid of her makeup in the public restrooms before going to the bus stop. Just imagining her brother seeing her like this made Mornel's heart pound.
As luck would have it, just then a noisy black motorcycle parked in front of her. Zane and Mornel, who had forgotten to wear a helmet, stared at each other in silence for a moment, then Mornel blushed with embarrassment and hid her face.
When Zane saw her appearance, he thought that she secretly liked to wear make-up like this, and without dwelling on it, he said in a serious tone, "Get in the back."
