I've been mentioning these kinds of people in my previous entries, describing them as people who don't belong in this city, or particular ones with powers or abilities, but I never explained what they really are. As much as I don't like to talk about them, it is best for me to note what they actually are.
Brushing away my ordeals with them, The Unorthodox isn't an organization, or a collection of people. It is the oddity of cells that unlocks the tapestry of superpowers, something like a fictional work of fantasy came to life. These cells that humans have inherited through their ancestors as far as the 19th century, and as for its origin point.. I couldn't even figure that out.
They had the acquired talent to have abnormal strength, defend themselves by hardening their skin (as an example), or better yet, these cells can affect a person's intelligence, or spatial awareness should they ever be in a fight. However, it's not the human body that's our main concern, it's not about the human itself that can punch through a wall, it's the cells utilizing matter around them that makes The Unorthodox possibly the most dangerous concept, a power no one should ever use.
To place an example, Edison uses energy (property of matter) and transforms that into weapons such as swords, gauntlets, or a spear. The downside is that he must use any sort of material that's possible to morph it and bring it back to its normal state. Otherwise, he is wasting that ability, causing him to be exhausted from trying to form one.
Another prime example has got to be a criminal by the name of Natalie. She had the ability to run extremely fast using energy she stored and get away from combat quite easily. This was reported by another Caster named Mio. Mio recollects the time where she got into a fight with Natalie, and as she was about to win, Natalie used up all her energy to run away.
Curious as to how you could tell what their abilities might be at the start of a fight? It's through the color of their eyes, and it had me survive through different people that had unique abilities for each encounter.
- Red I would assume it means power/enhancement of matter (Edison using energy)
- Blue I think it's the defense of anything using matter.
- Green is the preservation of matter. I have encountered someone who could create a bucket of infinite void, and anything can get inside it as long as you fit anything smaller than the radius of the bucket.
- White is strange, because no single Caster knows what it truly does. Possibly distribution of matter?
- Black is manipulation of matter, and I believe antimatter is in this equation.
So if someone were to read this, this is possibly a survival guide for them. As a note for myself, I have never encountered anyone that had the color yellow, but it would be interesting.
