Chapter 20: The First Real Test

Two games, two wins. Blackhaven FC was making waves in League One, but Daisuke knew the real test was about to begin.

Their next match? Bolton Wanderers.

A team with a rich history, a squad stacked with talent, and a clear goal—promotion.

Daisuke sat in his office, reviewing Bolton's last matches. His cheat ability ran complex simulations in his mind, breaking down Bolton's style.

They pressed aggressively.

Their midfield was dynamic, capable of quick transitions.

They had a striker, Callum Hawthorne, who had already scored three goals in two games.

Daisuke: "They'll attack from the first whistle, looking to overwhelm us."

But that was fine. They weren't the only ones with weapons.

Daisuke gathered his players in the meeting room.

Daisuke: "Bolton is dangerous, but they have weaknesses."

He flipped the tactics board.

Daisuke: "They press high, but that leaves space behind. If we bypass their first wave, we can expose them."

He pointed at Stojanovic and Murphy.

Daisuke: "Quick ball movement. No slow passes, no unnecessary touches."

Then, he turned to Barnes.

Daisuke: "You'll find space behind their center-backs. If we execute properly, you'll have chances."

Barnes nodded. He thrived in games like this.

The Blackhaven Stadium was packed.

The fans knew this wasn't just another game.

From the kickoff, Bolton attacked aggressively.

Within five minutes, Callum Hawthorne forced a save from Magnusson.

Daisuke watched calmly. He had predicted this exact start.

Then, in the 12th minute, Blackhaven struck.

Murphy received the ball under pressure but didn't panic. A quick turn, a sharp pass—and Bolton's press was broken.

Stojanovic saw Barnes making his run.

A perfectly weighted through-ball.

Barnes outpaced the defender, took one touch—

GOAL!

The stadium erupted. 1-0 Blackhaven.

Bolton was stunned.

Bolton didn't back down. They pushed harder, launching waves of attacks.

Daisuke adjusted. He tightened the midfield, forcing Bolton to attack from wide areas instead of through the center.

They crossed the ball into the box repeatedly—but Magnusson dominated the air, catching every delivery.

Then, in the 40th minute, Blackhaven struck again.

This time, it was from a counterattack.

Murphy intercepted a pass, sent a long ball to Shaw on the right wing—

A quick cross into the box—

GOAL! Barnes again!

2-0 Blackhaven.

The fans were in a frenzy.

Bolton came out swinging in the second half.

They threw bodies forward, desperate for a goal.

In the 60th minute, they got a penalty after a clumsy challenge.

Hawthorne stepped up.

Magnusson dived the right way. Save!

Blackhaven kept their lead.

Daisuke made a substitution, bringing in fresh legs to see out the match.

Final whistle. 2-0 Blackhaven.

Three games. Three wins.

As Daisuke walked into the press room, reporters fired questions.

Reporter: "Daisuke, Blackhaven just beat a top contender. Are you proving your team belongs at the top?"

Daisuke smirked.
