Synopsis:
In the distant land of Ksharan, Dr. Raghav Sen, a forensic psychiatrist, encounters a patient unlike
any other. A man named Viren claims to remember a city that doesn't exist-Vardhana. As Raghav
investigates, he unravels a reality-altering mystery that challenges the very fabric of existence.
The Man Without a Past
The man sitting across the table was trembling. His eyes darted around the dimly lit interrogation
room, searching for something-something that wasn't there.
Raghav leaned forward. "Your name is Viren?"
The man nodded, his breath ragged. "I... I think so."
"You were found wandering the streets of Shanapur, claiming you came from a city called
Vardhana." Raghav glanced at the report. "There's no record of such a place."
Viren clenched his fists. "No, that's wrong! I lived there. I was a teacher. I had a family." He shut his
eyes, trying to recall. "There was a great river, the Saryan, and the old clock tower in the center of
the city. But now... it's gone. It's as if the world erased it overnight!"
A chill ran down Raghav's spine.
The Vanishing:
The next morning, Raghav received a disturbing call.
Viren was gone.
The hospital's security footage showed something impossible-at exactly 3:33 AM, Viren vanished
from his room. The blankets collapsed where he had been lying, as if he had never existed.
No forced entry. No signs of escape. Just... nothing.
Meera's voice was tight over the phone. "Raghav, this doesn't make sense."
He exhaled sharply. "I need to know more about this 'Vardhana' he kept talking about."
But when he searched historical records, Vardhana didn't exist.
The Forgotten City:
Aditi led Raghav to an old library in Dharmpur, where she retrieved a fragile manuscript.
"This is over five hundred years old," she said. "It mentions a city called Vardhana-a thriving place
by the Saryan River. But then, something happened. The people started disappearing. And one day,
the city itself vanished."
Raghav frowned. "Vanished?"
Aditi nodded. "Like it was never there."
Before he could respond, his phone rang.
A distorted voice whispered, "You are looking where you shouldn't."
The line went dead.
The Rift:
That night, Raghav dreamed of Vardhana.
The city was bathed in violet light, the wind whispering like a thousand voices. He saw the great
clock tower, its hands frozen at 3:33 AM. And then-Viren was there.
"You have to stop them!" Viren's voice echoed. "Find the rift before it takes you too!"
Raghav jolted awake, his heart pounding.
He knew where he had to go.
With Meera and Aditi by his side, he traced Viren's last steps to an abandoned temple on the
outskirts of Shanapur. It was ancient, its walls covered in inscriptions.
Meera's flashlight flickered. "Something feels... wrong."
Then, Raghav saw it-an archway covered in strange symbols. The moment he touched it, reality
shattered.
The air warped. A deafening silence swallowed the world.
And suddenly-
They were in Vardhana.
The City That Shouldn't Exist:
The city stood before them, untouched by time. The violet trees swayed in an unnatural wind.
Shadows moved in the corners of their vision.
The clock tower loomed ahead, its hands still frozen at 3:33 AM.
Viren appeared from the mist, his face etched with terror.
"You shouldn't have come," he whispered.
Aditi clutched Raghav's arm. "Something is watching us."
The shadows shifted, coalescing into a formless entity. A voice echoed from nowhere and
everywhere.
"Some places are meant to be forgotten."
Raghav's body felt heavy, his mind slipping.
Meera screamed as the city began to dissolve, reality breaking apart.
Viren's voice echoed: "The rift is consuming us!"
Raghav had to make a choice-stay and be forgotten or break the cycle.
Summoning all his willpower, he reached for the archway-the exit.
And then-
The Erased:
Raghav gasped as he woke up in his apartment.
Was it all a dream?
No. Aditi and Meera were gone.
There were no records of them. No one remembered them. It was as if they had never existed.
A cold wind blew through the room.
On his desk lay an old, yellowed map of Ksharan.
The name Vardhana had been crossed out.
And beneath it, a new name had appeared.
Shanapur.
Raghav stared, realization dawning.
The cycle had begun again.
End.
