### **Chapter 64: Black, Yellow, and Red vs. Oden**
Oden finally fixed his gaze on the Marine before him, his expression solemn.
"Marine… what's your name?"
Carl responded calmly.
"Marine School student, Carl."
The surrounding pirates froze in disbelief.
*A student?*
Someone this strong was only a student in the Marines? Were they joking? If all new Marine recruits were like him, how would pirates even survive on the sea in the future?
Before they could process the shock, several warships emerged on the horizon.
Suddenly—
**Whoosh!**
Several transparent bear paws shot across the battlefield at speeds invisible to the naked eye, landing silently on the deck behind Carl. Six massive, bear-paw-shaped craters marked their arrival.
*Kuma had entered the battlefield.*
Meanwhile, on the Moby Dick, Zephyr appeared—having been transported by Kuma's ability.
Akainu stepped onto the deck, his eyes scanning the battlefield. The sight of fallen Marines sent a violent rage surging through him.
**Sizzle…**
Molten lava erupted from his body, and the entire deck's temperature skyrocketed.
Oden's pupils shrank in alarm.
*Magma!? No—he's Logia! Get out of here!*
But it was too late.
Akainu wasted no time. His arms morphed into molten rock as he launched an explosive attack on the surrounding pirates.
**Boom!**
The first wave of magma obliterated several pirates, turning them to ash in an instant. The sheer force of the blasts sent dozens more flying off the ship and into the sea like scattered debris.
Seeing this, the remaining Marines roared with renewed vigor, charging at the disoriented pirates.
Yet the Whitebeard Pirates were no ordinary crew. They quickly reorganized, and at the front of their formation, Oden lunged forward—his swords aimed at Carl and Akainu.
Carl remained composed, his presence radiating an inexplicable pressure.
"This one won't be easy," he said in a low voice. "Borsalino, Sakazuki—you two are with me. The others, handle the remaining commanders."
The six Marines acknowledged the command without hesitation and moved into action.
Lucia spread her black wings, turning into a streak of darkness as she sped toward Nekomamushi and Inuarashi, with Gion following close behind.
Ginny found herself facing off against a young pirate in a pink kimono, who also wielded firearms.
Kuma teleported again, appearing in front of Marco and Jozu, blocking their path.
Oden had no time to worry about his crew. His focus was locked on the three Marines before him.
He crossed his swords in front of his chest, his voice deep and unwavering.
*"Two-Sword Style!"*
It was his signature technique—proof that he took this battle seriously.
Kizaru, who was usually carefree, was uncharacteristically serious.
Seeing the fallen Marines around him, his usual nonchalant attitude was nowhere to be seen.
With a flash of golden light, he materialized a blade of pure energy and stepped forward, standing alongside Carl and Akainu.
Oden's expression tightened at the sight of Kizaru's sword.
*Wait…*
*That dark ability Carl used earlier…*
*"Three Logia?!"*
A chill ran down his spine.
He clenched his teeth and poured everything into his Haki, infusing both swords with its power.
He wasn't an idiot. If these three were allowed to grow, the Whitebeard Pirates' future would be in jeopardy.
He had to eliminate them today.
**Buzz!**
A powerful, cross-shaped slash wave erupted from Oden's swords, cutting through the air toward them.
Carl stepped forward, his aura surging with Conqueror's Haki.
*"King's Sword!"*
With a firm grip on Muramasa, he swung at the oncoming attack.
However, Oden had put everything into this strike. Carl alone couldn't deflect it completely.
**Flash!**
A burst of golden light.
Kizaru appeared beside Carl, his lightsaber humming.
Together, they dispersed the slash wave.
But Oden was already moving.
With a thunderous step, he launched himself forward, his swords poised to strike.
Akainu's eyes narrowed.
Without hesitation, his body liquefied, sinking into a pool of molten lava.
Oden barely had time to react before—
**WHOOSH!**
Akainu erupted from the lava like a volcanic explosion.
His left hand, now a concentrated mass of superheated magma, shot toward Oden's chest.
Oden gritted his teeth. He couldn't block magma with his swords—it would burn straight through.
Instead, he twisted his body, using both blades to shield himself.
**Boom!**
The force of the impact sent him flying backward.
Carl seized the moment.
Placing his left hand on the deck, darkness rippled outward.
The moment Oden landed, the ground beneath his feet turned pitch-black.
Carl's voice echoed ominously.
*"Dark Wave."*
**WHOOSH!**
A violent suction force erupted, dragging Oden downward.
His legs sank into the darkness up to his knees.
A sudden, unbearable pressure crushed his limbs.
It felt like they were being torn apart.
Gritting his teeth, he channeled Haki into his blades, trying to break free.
Carl's aura flared.
*"Hidden Waterfall Burial!"*
**BOOM!**
The darkness detonated.
Oden's eyes bulged as a sharp, excruciating pain tore through him.
With a final surge of will, he wrenched himself free, collapsing onto the deck.
But something was wrong.
He could feel the cold wood beneath one knee—but not the other.
Panting, he forced himself upright, supporting himself on his swords.
Blood dripped freely onto the deck.
His right leg—gone from the knee down.
A crimson pool formed beneath him.
Nekomamushi and Inuarashi, who had been battling Lucia and Gion, turned at the sound of Oden's agonized scream.
Their eyes widened in horror.
*"Lord Oden!!"*
They ignored their opponents, charging through a storm of attacks to reach his side.
Both Minks grabbed hold of Oden, their fury palpable.
Nekomamushi let out a thunderous roar.
*"WHO?! WHO DID THIS?!"*
Oden, his face pale, clenched his teeth against the pain.
"I was too reckless…" he muttered hoarsely.
His eyes flickered toward Carl, Akainu, and Kizaru.
*"This element… is it darkness?"*
Shoving his comrades away, he tried to stand on one leg, his breath ragged.
*"We must not let these three live. Kill them!"*
Nekomamushi and Inuarashi needed no further orders.
But just as Nekomamushi prepared to attack, Inuarashi suddenly stopped him.
"Wait!" he said sharply. "Look at the sky!"
Nekomamushi hesitated, then turned his gaze upward.
His pupils dilated.
A wide grin spread across his face.
*"The full moon…"*
Then, his grin turned feral.
*"You're all dead."*
