Some of the girls no longer cared about being reserved and gathered around Carl.
Lucia approached calmly, while Ginny nestled into his arms, and Gion squeezed in on the other side with surprising strength.
The male students at other tables watched Carl, surrounded by admirers, smacked their lips, and downed their drinks. They had to admit—they were convinced. If they were girls, they might have approached him too. After all, Carl wasn't just handsome; he was powerful. What girl wouldn't be drawn to him?
Carl maintained his usual polite smile, never refusing a toast. But of course, as a **Dark-Dark Fruit** user, his body was literally darkness—absorbing alcohol was effortless. That said, he only truly drank the wine poured by **Lucia** and **Ginny**.
Ginny's alcohol tolerance was abysmal. Before long, she collapsed against Carl's chest, mumbling nonsense in a drunken haze. Even in her rambling, **eight out of ten sentences were about Carl**.
Lucia, on the other hand, had an unexpectedly high tolerance. She remained quiet, occasionally picking up food for Carl without a word.
After the banquet, Carl escorted Ginny back to the dormitory. He watched as **Jessica** helped her inside, making sure she was taken care of before turning to leave.
But after a few steps, he noticed **Lucia** still following him.
**"Lucia, why aren't you going back?"** Carl asked.
Lucia stroked her long black hair and replied softly, **"Young Master, I want to walk with you… may I?"** She lowered her gaze, her voice even quieter.
**"It's been so long since we were alone together…"**
Hearing this, Carl immediately took **Lucia's** hand, his voice gentle.
**"Why wouldn't that be okay? Everyone else is back in their dorms. Let's go sit at the training ground for a while."**
Lucia's face lit up with a **radiant smile** as she took Carl's arm, and together, they walked toward the training ground.

Upstairs, **Gion** rested her chin on her hand, quietly watching Carl and Lucia disappear into the night.
Jessica, who was tucking Ginny into bed, glanced at her and asked, **"Gion, what are you looking at?"**
Gion shook her head, smiling faintly. **"It's nothing. It's late—we should get some rest."**
Jessica sighed, glancing at Ginny. **"I didn't expect her to have such low alcohol tolerance. I won't let her drink again!"**
Gion chuckled softly, her gaze lingering on Ginny. **"Yes… she should drink less."**

In the training ground, beneath the large tree, **Lucia knelt** on the grass while **Carl rested his head on her lap**. Her fingers gently stroked his face, her eyes filled with quiet affection.
Carl, eyes closed, enjoyed her touch. **"Lucia, from now on, you will be my adjutant."**
Lucia lowered her gaze. **"I will obey your orders, Young Master. I am your servant."**
Carl opened his eyes, frowning slightly. **"Don't say that."** His voice softened. **"I've never seen you as a servant. When we were younger, you were like my sister. And now…"**
He paused, holding her gaze.
**"Now, you are my woman."**
Lucia's cheeks **flushed**. She wanted to look away, but Carl leaned in, their faces inches apart.
**"Do you disagree with what I said?"** he murmured.
Before she could respond, Carl closed the distance, capturing her lips in a deep, lingering kiss.
Lucia stiffened for a moment, then **melted into him**, her pupils flickering with a strange **purple hue** as her powers reacted unconsciously.
**Black wings** unfolded from her back, instinctively wrapping around them.
Under the moonlight, Lucia's wings trembled gently, enclosing them in shadow.
Moments passed. A soft, pained gasp escaped from within the feathers, followed by hushed whispers.
Gradually, her wings **settled**, revealing **Carl and Lucia** beneath them.
Carl was shirtless. Lucia's clothes were loosely draped over her, her face glowing with contentment as she nuzzled against Carl's bare chest.
Carl glanced down at her, his tone teasing. **"It seems the angel has truly fallen."**
Lucia fluttered her lashes and smiled shyly. **"Young Master, I may be a fallen angel, but this… this feels like returning to heaven."**
Carl chuckled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. Then, reaching into his coat, he pulled out the **Dark Bible**, folding a **white handkerchief** and slipping it inside.
Lucia's face **reddened instantly**. She buried herself against Carl's chest, voice barely above a whisper. **"Young Master… how could you put that in the Bible? Won't we go to hell?"**
Carl smirked. **"What are you talking about? Nothing is more sacred than this moment."** His voice softened. **"And why would we die? Don't you want to stay with me forever?"**
Lucia suddenly sat up, wrapping her arms around Carl's neck. **"Of course! I will always stay by your side, Young Master. Even if we go to hell, I'll follow you!"**
Carl smiled. **"We won't go to hell."**
Lucia's grip tightened. **"Then I'll follow you to heaven!"**
Carl's expression grew thoughtful. **"Heaven doesn't exist. These are things to think about after death… so we just won't die."**
Carl, with **memories from Earth**, knew that **immortality was possible** in this world. But he didn't elaborate.
Instead, he pulled Lucia close, leaning against the tree as he took out a **cigarette**—a gift from Zephyr after a night of drinking.
Now seemed like the perfect time to enjoy it.
With a snap of his fingers, he **ignited the tip with a spark of lightning**, exhaling a heart-shaped smoke ring.
Lucia reached out, poking at the smoke ring, watching as it drifted up her arm before floating away.
Under the soft glow of the **moonlight**, they sat in **silence**.
Lucia turned her gaze to Carl's profile, her heart full of warmth.
She wished… this moment could last forever.
