Of course I am! Nothing more manly than being a hero and saving lives. That is what I strive for!"
Eijiro responded with an unnecessary amount of gusto; Taro smiled, amused; the guy was quite energetic. That was for sure; he didn't hate that.
"I guess that's true. I can't say I'm as excited as you tho"
Taro responded.
"As long as you know. So what's your favorite hero? And don't tell me something basic like All Might or Endeavor"
Eijiro asked, but before Taro could answer, a pink-skinned girl with similar pink hair and small horns quickly interrupted their conversation.
"Eiji don't ask people questions like that. That's not how you make friends"
She said jokingly as she crashed into him on purpose. He did not budge an inch but instead grabbed her and moved her to the side.
"Mina, you can't intrude in a manly conversation like that, and that is exactly how you make friends, you wouldn't know"
"Yeah right, just don't bog down people with all that intensity. See ya in class"
She said, with an ever-perpetual smile on her face, and walked ahead of them, already waving at some girls that were ahead.
The two boys then began discussing their favorite heroes as they walked towards their class.
….
Momo had managed to make it into her class, which was hero class 1A. Despite not walking any faster, she still somehow managed to arrive in class minutes before anyone else could, which gave her time to finish tinkering with her electrocution glove.
Interestingly enough, despite being a university where students don't have a set homeroom class, hero course students were afforded such a luxury, and they didn't have to move around going to the next venue.
One could guess that this clear favoritism was a small reward for the students who will be going into a profession that demands the most out of them than any job out there.
Momo was fiddling with glove trying to get the voltage right to be able to at least stun Taro whenever he's annoying.
As she was doing this, she heard voices of people talking and tried to quickly put the glove back in her backpack. This was her chance to make a good first impression.
"What's that?"
A girl's voice suddenly sounded right next to her, causing her to jolt in surprise and drop her mechanical glove. She tried to look where the voices came from but couldn't see anything until the perpetrator revealed herself.
"Oh sorry, sorry, sometimes I forget to turn myself back to visible."
A young girl with lime green hair spoke as her body and clothes slowly faded back into existence, revealing her well-endowed figure.
"Oh my goodness, your quirk turns you invisible. That's amazing!"
Momo quickly shoved her gloves in her pocket and stood up as her eyes shimmered in excitement.
"Yeah, sometimes it's a hassle, though I'm good at being sneaky."
The girl gave her a bright and happy smile, and Momo couldn't help but feel its infectious nature.
"What else can you do? Can you turn other things invisible? Like you did your clothes. Is there some area of effect? Can you turn things you aren't touching Invisible, too?"
The young rich girl had her curiosity sparked as she began asking various questions; she'd never seen a quirk that allowed for someone to be invisible before.
Of course, the other girl was not shy either and began answering as many questions as she could with a cheery expression on her face.
"Yeah I can pretty much turn anything invisible but I need to concentrate a lot, especially when I do it to people, I can't control my Quirk very well so sometimes I may be unable to turn things back"
"Amazing!"
"I can not tell you the number of times I turn something invisible only to forget and trip on it later."
"I bet that is a different kind of difficulty. My brother used to leave a lot of toys in the hallway when we were younger, and I'd trip on them all the time"
They both laughed at their shared experiences and continued to talk about Toru's quirk.
As they spoke, more of their classmates entered the class, mostly girls and one boy, which was Katsuki; the rest of the boys seemed to be held up somewhere else.
"What are you guys talking about?"
The ever-social Mina Ashido intruded into the conversation.
"We were talking about Quirks, hers allows her to be invisible, and she makes other things invisible too"
"That's so cool! Mine only allows me to make really powerful acids"
Mina responded, and the conversation then revolved around their quirks and what they can and can not do.
It began with just three, but Mina involved the rest of the class, at least the ones that were present, such as Kyoka Jiro, Ochako Uraraka, and Tsuyu Asui Eventually, they were all now hurdled alright Momo's desk, talking about quirks.
"Should we ask him?"
Mina questioned, She did her best to whisper but was not good at it. They all looked at Katsuki, who was seated at the front desk, seemingly sleeping.
"I don't know he's kinda scary. He was frowning from the moment he entered UA"
Kyouka answered, feeling a bit unsure about the boy, as he seemed to be the rowdy type.
"Even if he is a bit unwelcoming, I think it's only fair to include him too"
Momo reasoned; even though that boy had tried to start a fight with her brother, she figured since he was in UA, he was not a bad person; maybe he had some anger issues, but he was not a completely bad person.
"Is he even gonna answer if we ask him?"
Ochako chimed in and received silent hums from the rest.
"We should just ask him, can't hurt to try"
Asui stated flat without a whisper; it was apparent to her that no one in her group knew how to whisper, so she decided to just speak.
"She's right!"
Toro stood up from her chair, agreeing with Asui and wasting no time in doing as she intended.
"Hey, what's your quirk?"
Momo thought the line of questioning could have been less rude, but if it works, it works.
"What's it to you?"
The young man responded without turning to look at them.
"Come on, don't be a jerk, tell us"
Toru, however, pressed on, undeterred by his unfriendly attitude.
"No."
"Come on, we're going to be classmates, so just tell us"
Mina quickly chimed in, seeing that Toru was not going to be enough to convince the unfriendly gremlin.
"I don't gotta tell ya shit!"
"I mean, we are going to find out anyway since we're in the same class; I think it is for the best to just tell us now, please?"
Momo added, trying a more logical and more polite approach, but it seemed unsuccessful.
"Well, we tried"
Ochako quickly shrugged, giving up on the idea. Mr. unfriendly was indeed unfriendly; her attitude was shared by Kyoka, who, too, simply gave up.
Fortunately for the girls, another boy entered the class. He had white and red hair with a burnt scar on the left side of his eye.
"Is this class 1A? I know it's written above the door, but I want to be sure"
He asked, his voice soft but monotone, void of any anxiety or uncertainty despite his question.
"If you want us to tell you that, first tell us your quirk?"
Mina was quick to present an ultimatum and rendered the boy a bit confused, but he nonetheless relented to her request.
...
A/N: yes, the class only has about 12 characters in it; this is because I find a lot of the characters are just irrelevant and don't get many moments that are important to the story, don't worry though, just coz not all the characters are in the class doesn't mean they don't exist.
Izuku, Shoji, Tokoyami, and a few others still exist but won't appear for a bit
