CHAPTER 73:Am I a pawn in this game?

NADIA

The words echoed in my head like a bell struck too hard. "Dagger has found its lost prince." I blinked, trying to make sense of them.

For a moment, the world around me dulled, my breath caught somewhere in my chest.

The prince?

How?

Asher looked just as shaken. He didn't say anything at first, and I didn't either.

We just exchanged a silent, tense glance, both of us thinking the same thing: this isn't good.

"Do you know who he is?" Asher asked Silican, his voice low but urgent.

Silican shook his head slightly. "Not yet. We're digging on it."

I could hear the weight of that uncertainty in his voice.

If the Dagger Moon prince was back…and now teaming up with the princess…then something much darker was brewing than we had prepared for.

"Asher…" I whispered, my voice barely audible over the beating of my heart.

He didn't respond. He was lost in thought.
