Chapter 2 - Little Long Xiang

After healing Bai Lan little Xiang was exhausted not to mention she was in a body of a child, hat confused her was the strange healing green light inside her body, it was strange yet she could not figure out how she was able to heal her mother, slowly drowsiness took over her and she went into deep sleep.

Bai Lan felt that she was dead, in fact she was sure that she was going on the path of reincarnation, but she didn't want to die just yet, her little child who was just born wont be able to survive on her own, not to mention they were currently in an underground chamber and she was also afraid what if the enemy found her daughter and killed her.

'No, no i cannot die, i cannot die.' suddenly Bai Lan woke up with a start the pain she was expecting would come never came after all she was well aware of her own body her core was shattered after giving birth, but to her surprise not only her bones but even her core was well formed and repaired, she found that her spiritual Qi was flowing smoothly too, if not for her cultivation which has fallen down from Great Sovereign stage to foundation establishment stage she would have thought that she was actually dreaming.

But looking at her little daughter who was sleeping peacefully, she found that this was not a dream but the truth,'Yes she was a mother now, mother of her little darling.'

She picked up her daughter and held her in her arms, her eyes and heart were overwhelmed with motherly love at that moment looking at the sleeping child she took an oath in her heart, that no matter what she would always cherish this little blessing given to her by the world.

She looked at the benevolent face of the deity which was shining in the dim light of the fact and slowly kowtowed with her daughter in her hand and placed her daughter in front of the deity.

"Thank you, for protecting us, now that my child has been born under your shelter, please love and protect her as if she is your own child." she firmly believed that the deity was smiling and saying yes i will.

After feeding her little daughter, Bai Lan stood up to find oil for the lamp, although now she was more than healed but she cannot use her spiritual energy randomly, she don't know how much time they have to stay in this underground room until she can find the lever which can take this room to the ground level again.

After finding a gourd bottle which was full of oil, she refilled the oil lamp again.

Unbeknown to her, the underground chamber had saved her and her daughter life.

The complete Dark Misty Forest was surrounded by a strange force, these people were so powerful that for the few days all the spirit beast below fourth level has not even come out of their hiding places.

It was not just one force which was searching for the fugitive Bai Lan rather there were more than three forces who were running a search operation for her.

"Dead or alive we want her body." ordered a mask man to the group of people behind him, divide into four teams, each team will have five nascent soul, five golden core and ten foundation establishment spiritual masters, she is exhausted and injured, she wont be able to run far unless she is hiding somewhere here.

The masked man had a deep set of dark brown eyes, with broad and wide brows and a slight scar on the outer corner of his left eyebrow, he was a person of authority and exuded great power, he was just one step away from breaking into Great Sovereign stage.

It was a pity the women Bai Lan was very smart, she barely used her spiritual power and Mental consciousness and was easily able to mask her breath, still they were able to mark her here till the dark misty forest, however suddenly her breath vanished and they were not able to find her.

'The young miss has made it clear, if he cannot find Bai Lan dead or alive he will be finished.'

Dark Misty Forest was situated at the outer edge of the Capital City of Kong kingdom and they were already waiting to ambush Bai Lan on the outer edge of the forest.

The situation of Dark Misty Forest was very peculiar, it was misty all year around as light rain and drizzle was a common phenomenon in the forest, making it a little damp area, hence tracking footprints was not easy here.

Soon one of the group saw a dilapidated temple,"There, young master Shen, maybe the Young Lady of the Bai family is hiding inside the temple."

Young Master Shen smiled evilly, 'Lets see Bai Lan how far can you go with that pregnant belly of yours.'

"Ambush the temple." ordered Shen Jiayi.

Soon the news about the temple reached the other parties, the man with the scar on his brows also ordered his subordinate to watch the area.

"Master Li, Black snake group and Death tower group has surrounded a dilapidated temple, they think that Bai Lu might have taken shelter there, after all she is running full term she cannot run away anywhere from here."

"Hmm, lets wait and watch."

Soon the dilapidated temple was surrounded by various spiritual masters, "Search it thoroughly, even if you have to turn the stone break the pillars FIND HER!" ordered Wu Tong the man with the scar on the eyebrow. 

The temple was made up of red stone, its pillars are walls were intricately carved making it look strong and ancient, however when the people searched inside all they could find was an empty abandoned temple, even the inside of the shrine was empty with few broken stones and pillars.

the temple had about three rooms, which were possibly build for the monks however after searching through every one of these rooms they could still not find the women.

"where have you disappeared BAI LAN!" screamed Wu Tong he punched a nearby tree which broke into splinters due to the sheer spiritual power of Wu Tong.

"Surround the edge of the forest." ordered Shen Jiayi, if Bai Lan was not here either she was hiding somewhere inside this forest or she might have used a teleportation talisman and fled somewhere.

However it was not possible without them knowing as even the best of the teleportation talisman will leave lingering effects.

There was another possibility, she might have been eaten by a spiritual beast or killed by a powerful beast, after all she was pregnant and spiritual beast of higher realm can easily detect pregnant women.
