Chapter 8 - An Accident Occured

"It happened all of a sudden, we couldn't do anything, but we caught the person who did it, however before we could question him he self destroyed himself." spoke Lao Tie the head of the red wolf mercenary group.

Long Xiang was sitting on the bed, her mother who was fine and kicking before she left, who left her with a promise that she will come back to her safely was now lying n the bed, her life and death uncertain.

"Old Lao, you have no idea from where that person came from?" asked Nanny Wang with tears in her eyes.

"The last words he said was that the Holy Priestess will be proud of him and then he self immolated." said old Tie, they were from the lower realm forget about the holy priestess he has never even heard of a holy temple.

Hearing what Lao Tie said Long Xiang's eyes turned cold,"Holy Priestess, you messed with the wrong person." this holy priestess she will make her regret being born in this world.

"But old Tie what about little Xiang, now she is so small." Nanny Wang couldn't help but cry looking at the still An Xiang who was just looking at her mother's face not showing any emotions, not even crying.

"Nanny Wang let us give her some space, don't forget tomorrow will be the funeral, prepare for it, we will take care of Little An Lan's child for her." Lao Tie was fond of An Xiang and he would provide for the child after all now the child was basically an orphan.

"Funeral....NO!" After everyone left the room Long Xiang came out of her stupor, she carefully checked her mother's body with her healer's eyes.

She found that her mother's veins was corroded by a strange black venom which was moving inside her body as if alive. however her mother's heart was still beating but very faintly however she was sure that it was beating.

Without waiting anymore she quickly brought her mother into her space and placed her below the healing tree which has grown twice as large now.

Soon the healing green energy covered her mother, Long Xiang took out some silver needles she brought from the medicine hall and quickly performed acupuncture on her mother.

Seeing that it was not helping she carefully put acupuncture needles where the black venom was flowing to stop its movement.

Meanwhile the healing energy from tree ensured that her mother's life was currently saved, for the time being.

With a surgical knife she cut open her mother's left hand vein where the black substance got accumulated and before it could run away with the help of the telekinesis pulled it out and captured it inside a jade bottle. 

After suturing the knife wound to her dismay she found that although the black fluid left her mother's body , the poison was still present and she was still in coma.

she took some blood samples to research, the only point of relief was that her mother's life was no longer in danger, her barely there heartbeat was now more noticeable yet faint.

Basically now her mother was in a vegetative state.

That very night Long Xiang fled the Red wolf mercenary courtyard and the Capital city, she knew they will search for her and her mother hence she quickly wrote a letter impersonating herself as a relative of Bai Lan and saying they were taking her to her hometown and also Long Xiang with them.

The whole courtyard knew she was three years old and wont suspect that she could write, hence after leaving the letter and some silver ingot for Nanny Wang she left the Capital City in the cover of the night.

The only Place Long Xiang knew to her heart in this world was only the dilapidated temple and the underground valley hence she purchased some oil for burning lamp and went to the temple.

Looking at the temple deity's benevolent face, she felt as if the deity was saying you are always welcome here, she felt tearful, she always felt like home here, maybe because of the fact that she was born here.

she quickly went inside and put some oil into the already burning oil lamp, she suddenly realized that this lamp was always burning, even if there was no one to look after it, surprisingly it was never out.

She soon pulled the lever on the wall and once again the whole room went underground.

The next day Long Xiang emerged out of the hollow tree from the underground tunnel and breathed in the rich spiritual energy of the underground valley.

This place she couldn't understand had a very peaceful and comforting era and finally she felt as if everything will be alright.

She sat near the Pond and pondered on what to do next, although her medical knowledge was vast but she didn't know the poison which caused her mother to fall into such state.

Firstly she have to research and find if she can see anything related to that poison in the medicine and poison compendium she purchased from the medical hall in the Capital City of Kong Kingdom.

After thinking everything through she went inside her inner space, looking at the thriving egg, she felt that maybe it is soon going to hatch, hence to avoid any disturbances she took it out of her space and placed it near the waterlily pond of the underground valley.

Now even if it hatches, it can find its way back home from here and will have nothing to do with her, currently she was occupied with more pressing issues and had no time to find this egg's parents.

After putting the egg outside she went inside her space and found all the books she has collected on medicine and poison.

Not to mention some of these books she has found in this underground valley itself, the other which she purchased in the medicine hall were just basic to intermediary books on different types of medicines, elixirs, spiritual herbs and their uses.

Finally she saw one of the books which she found near the old corpse in Underground valley named prohibited poisons and found something similar to the moving black fluid her mother was inflicted with.

As Long Xiang was immersed in her reading she had no idea what havoc was going on outside her space.

The creature inside the egg which was about to be birthed caused a strange phenomenon in the sky.

suddenly the sky around the whole dark Misty forest was lit by holy lightning, it was so huge that it almost caused an uproar in Kong Kingdom and slowly the whole lower realm came to know about it.

The sky was lit with golden light then slowly all the colors of rainbow emerged one by one and started bathing the egg into holy light.

The air around the misty forest became especially clear and tranquil also the spiritual energy around the area suddenly became much pure and abundant, however all of this was being sucked in towards the egg.

The egg which was initially sitting on the stone platform got suspended into mid air and got baptized by the holy lightning and started taking sucking in the surrounding spiritual Qi like a vortex.

People from all over the Continent and different powerhouses started teleporting into the direction of dark misty forest.

"A birth of Divine Treasure?" Yes seventh prince you heard it right.

"Get the team ready we will set off to dark misty forest now." spoke Kong Bai the third prince of Kong Nation.

Fifth Princess Kong Shi heard the news and quickly found her birth brother Kong Wu the fifth prince to form a team and search for the treasure.

Soon forces from all across the world came near the forest.

Shen Miao the holy priestess came with her holy entourage however she did not immediately join the crowd of onlookers, after all she was a holy priestess and no one amongst the crowd new of her identity.

In fact she felt disgusted coming to such a small Nation like Kong however the Divine treasure was something which even made the great ancestors of different sects and clans who were into seclusion come out and seek this treasure for themselves or their family members.

Divine Treasure was not a joke, if one can get hold of a divine treasure it was a sure fact that they can become an unrivaled superpower in this cultivation world if they properly used such a treasure.

All the mid and high tier families brought their young talents, even the great sects brought in their talented disciples and great elders to get this fortuitous encounter.

However what baffled them was the peculiar behavior of the spirit beast of the area, maybe due to so many powerhouses emerging into the Dark Mist forest the spirit animals didn't join in the fun of seeking the Divine treasure.

What no one realized was that the spirit beast were scared and dared not seek this divine treasure as even the holy light gave them a very domineering feeling and they were sure even if they tried to take the heavenly treasures for themselves, these despicable Humans wont let them be in peace.
