Chapter 3: Gifted Talent Package, Spiritual Awakening

The two of them were childhood friends, having known each other since they were very young.

Bai Ze hadn't been in this world for long, and both of his parents had tragically passed away.

Because of that, he had lived with Xia Yin Yue for a while, as their homes were not too far apart.

However, today, Bai Ze wanted to go back and test the system, so he had no choice but to decline.

"Next time, I'll come to your house and try your cooking!" Bai Ze promised.

"Alright then," Xia Yin Yue said, sounding a little disappointed.

"Remember, the school principal told me that someone from an interstellar university is coming next week to select a student for a recommendation," Xia Yin Yue reminded him.

This made Bai Ze recall something.

Their homeroom teacher had mentioned it before.

Every year at this time, representatives from various interstellar universities visited high schools to recruit students.

Some top universities would even select a student with excellent talent and abilities as a recommended candidate.

The remaining students would have to compete against each other for a spot.

"Got it, I'll remember. Don't worry, it's just one recommendation slot, not a big deal," Bai Ze said, shaking his head.

Xia Yin Yue wanted to attend the same university as Bai Ze.

But she knew that with Bai Ze's current situation, it would be hard for him to achieve that!

"Sure enough, I'm still not strong enough. If I were stronger, I could keep him by my side forever..." Xia Yin Yue said with a somewhat sinister tone.

Bai Ze didn't notice this, and after a simple lunch with Xia Yin Yue, they hurriedly said goodbye and went their separate ways.

Because Bai Ze's parents had passed away, he had initially stayed in an orphanage.

Luckily, due to his excellent grades, the school had assigned him a relatively decent small house.

Back home, Bai Ze dropped his bag and hurried to his bedroom.

He sat cross-legged on the bed, and when he closed his eyes, he was transported back into the vast starry sea.

Looking down, if it weren't for the transparent world wall, no one passing by would even know there was a planet here.

Sigh... Bai Ze sighed, then called out, "System."

[Ding! Host's call was received, and the system has been automatically activated!]

[As it is the first time the Divine Simulator has been activated, the system grants the host 1000 Creation Points and a Talent Gift Pack!]

A series of messages appeared before Bai Ze's eyes.

"What's Creation Points?" Bai Ze asked.

[Divine Simulator, each simulation requires Creation Points.]

[To gain Creation Points, the host must achieve certain accomplishments, similar to achievements!]

After hearing the explanation, Bai Ze slowly nodded.

He didn't fully understand, but he was sure that since simulations required Creation Points, this thing should be very useful!

"Let's open the Talent Gift Pack first!"

It was right in front of him, how could he resist opening it?

Suddenly, a red light flashed before Bai Ze's eyes.

Finally, a neat line of text appeared on the system panel.

[Spiritual Energy Revival]: Red passive talent. When activated, the spiritual energy in the world begins to revive, causing all living beings to evolve at an accelerated rate, world plates to expand rapidly, and resources to increase significantly.

[Note: This talent can only be used once. If the host needs it permanently, a large amount of Creation Points will be required!]

The system also explained.

Simulation talents are divided into white, blue, purple, gold, and red.

Each time a simulation is started, a ten-roll draw is available.

The host can choose three of the talents to begin the simulation.

This talent is stored in the system space and can be activated at any time without drawing.

Unfortunately, it can only be used once.

"System, how many Creation Points are needed to permanently fix this red talent?" Bai Ze asked.

[Ding!]

[Spiritual Energy Revival (Red Talent)]: To permanently fix, it requires 10,000 Creation Points.

"Well..."

Seeing this, Bai Ze lost all motivation.

He currently only had 1000 Creation Points, and it would take an unknown amount of time before he could afford the permanent cost.

He decided to save up and focus on understanding the simulator first.

When he was confident enough, he would use this talent!

"System."

Bai Ze thought to himself, and then a line of black text appeared on the panel.

[Divine Simulator has been activated.]

[Since the host's planet has no land or sea, this simulation requires no Creation Points.]

[Yes/No]

Such a great deal?

Bai Ze hesitated for only a moment.

"Yes!" Bai Ze exclaimed.

The next second, his perspective began to change.

It gradually shifted to a microscopic view, where every corner of the entire planet was clearly visible.

It was like a god gazing down at all of creation!

[Ding! Simulation has started, and the ten-roll draw is now being issued.]

[Host, please choose the talents for this simulation.]

Suddenly, ten dialogue boxes popped up in front of Bai Ze.

[Peace Amulet: Reduces the chance of death for organisms (White)]

[Optimist: Increases organism happiness by +10 (White)]

[Gifted: Organisms are more likely to develop civilization, Intelligence +10 (White)]

[Born Depressed: Decreases organism happiness by -10 (White)]

[Only Child: Organisms can only reproduce once in their lifetime (White)]

[Good Swimmer: Organisms are naturally able to swim (White)]

[Dragon People: Organisms' reproduction is more likely to produce higher bloodlines (Blue)]

[Premature: Newborn life is more likely to be premature, Constitution -10 (White)]

[Born Disabled: Newborn life is more likely to be disabled, Constitution -10 (White)]

[Infertile: Organisms cannot reproduce (White)]

Damn.

Bai Ze took one look and realized that the first round didn't offer anything useful, it was all traps!

Helpless, he selected three relatively better talents.

Peace Amulet, Gifted, and Dragon People, and then began the simulation.

"These three will do."

[Ding! Talents selected. Please choose the items to be carried for this simulation, otherwise, the simulation cannot begin.]

Bai Ze looked at his world, feeling a bit awkward.

Without land or sea, it seemed there was no way to run a simulation.

So, he decided to carry three basic D-level resource cards, and also...

[Clay Manufacture]: C-level creature card, which can change into different creatures based on environmental climate.

[Note: Carrying cards above D-level requires additional Creation Points, C-level card costs 10 points.]

Bai Ze hesitated for a moment, not expecting that carrying items for the simulation would require Creation Points.

However, considering how bad his world was...

Bai Ze still chose to carry this card, since this simulation was essentially free, and wouldn't cost much Creation Points.

"All items carried, let's start the simulation!"

With that command, the system panel disappeared.

The world before Bai Ze's eyes began to materialize!
