Chapter 9: Companion Talent? One of a Kind

[Kun (Extraordinary Creature, Servant-Level, Initial Stage)]:

An extraordinary creature of unparalleled might. Due to its immense size, it has transcended biological limits and reached an extraordinary level. It can churn up oceans and command the tides with its power!

Subsidiary Race: Sperm Whale Species

Creation Value Required: 500

"Thankfully, it's not too much..." Bai Ze breathed a sigh of relief.

"Permanently fix the creature!" Bai Ze declared.

After all, this was his very first extraordinary creature, and it even came with a subsidiary race.

Even though it was at the lowest Servant Level, Bai Ze still wanted it.

Additionally, extraordinary creatures were classified into levels: starting from Servant Level, then progressing to Warrior Level, Leader Level, Monarch Level, and Emperor Level.

Creatures beyond this would ascend to the Divine Level, something far beyond Bai Ze's current reach.

[Ding! The creature has been permanently fixed and can be summoned from the system space at any time!]

Great!

With that done, the temporary slot could be used for the Giant Squid.

[Ding! Temporary fixation is successful. Please select the simulation talent to fix temporarily.]

Faced with the choice between the two talents, "Extraordinary Descent" and "Visitors from Another Realm," Bai Ze hesitated.

One could significantly enhance the emergence of extraordinary creatures, while the other was full of uncertainty offering either groundbreaking opportunities or catastrophic destruction.

"Hmm..." After some thought, Bai Ze decided, "I'll temporarily fix 'Visitors from Another Realm.'"

After careful consideration, Bai Ze decided to experiment with this talent in the next round.

After all, it was just a simulation; even if he ended up destroying his planet, it wouldn't matter.

And since items from the simulation could be brought into reality, if "Visitors from Another Realm" produced something incredible, it would be a step toward greatness!

[Ding! This simulation has ended.]

[Cooldown Time: 50 Minutes!]

With the cooldown in effect, Bai Ze opened the system space and glanced at the Kun stored inside. Satisfied, he smiled.

Then he closed the system space and picked up his phone.

Such good news, of course, had to be shared with someone.

As for the recipient, since Bai Ze didn't have many friends at school, naturally, the first person that came to mind was Xia Yinyue.

Beep, beep, beep

Ding

Another round of simulation had ended, and it was now 9 PM on the third day.

On the other side, Xia Yinyue was soaking in her bathtub at home.

Her hair was wrapped in a pure white towel, with a few damp strands hanging down. Droplets of water slid down her delicate collarbone.

Unfortunately, the layers of bubbles and dense mist concealed the exquisite scenery, leaving nothing visible.

Hearing her phone ring, Xia Yinyue reached over and answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Yinyue, how's the development of your world going?" Bai Ze started the conversation.

In the bathtub, Xia Yinyue's face lit up with delight upon hearing Bai Ze's voice.

"Bai Ze?" she called softly.

"Hehe, my world? It's already produced true energy, and I've even cultivated a group of flying creatures," Xia Yinyue said proudly.

"Flying creatures?" Bai Ze mused for a moment before guessing, "Are they angels?"

His words left Xia Yinyue momentarily stunned. Bai Ze had guessed correctly.

"How did you know they're angels?" Xia Yinyue chuckled.

Angels were a relatively powerful species, typically only created in worlds abundant in magical energy.

But how had Xia Yinyue's world of true energy managed it?

"Really angels? But how did your true energy world create angels?" Bai Ze asked, puzzled.

On the other end, Xia Yinyue pouted in thought before answering, "Honestly, I only discovered it this morning."

"It seems my world can convert energy on its own. Yesterday it was fine, but when I woke up this morning, the true energy had transformed into magical energy, and the warriors I cultivated yesterday were turned into angels."

This left Bai Ze completely speechless.

Energy conversion in a world?

Could it be that what Xia Yinyue described was a companion talent born alongside her world?

It's worth noting that such talents were extremely rare, with probabilities lower by thousands or even tens of thousands of times compared to awakening a planet.

Moreover, every companion talent was unique, meaning there would never be two identical ones in the entire universe.

"Enough about that for now. How's your world progressing?" Xia Yinyue asked with concern.

"If things are tough, don't mess around. I'll come over and help you right now," she said urgently.

Hearing the worried tone in her voice, Bai Ze quickly stopped her.

"There's no need, Yinyue. Things are going well here. I've already birthed some creatures..." Bai Ze said vaguely.

This time, it was Xia Yinyue's turn to be shocked.

She desperately wanted to know how Bai Ze's weak world had managed to produce life, and what kind of life it was.

But Bai Ze brushed her off.

"Oh, it's nothing much, just some random little creatures without any combat power," Bai Ze replied casually.

"Hmph! Fine, don't tell me then." Xia Yinyue pouted, a little annoyed. "But if something happens, make sure you tell me. Don't keep it to yourself."

Hearing her concerned voice, Bai Ze nodded and replied, "I know, don't worry."

Only after Bai Ze promised did Xia Yinyue feel at ease.

However, she suddenly remembered something and quickly spoke up. "Oh, right, there's one more thing I need to tell you."

"Yesterday, I received a notice from the principal. He said the school's early admission slots have been granted, and I've been selected for the top-ranked South University."

"But to avoid making it look like favoritism, the principal still wants me to visit the school once. You should come with me when the time comes."

Hearing this, Bai Ze froze for a moment before nodding.

"Alright, I'll come to your house to pick you up that day," Bai Ze replied with a smile.

"It's better if I come to you. Things are... a bit inconvenient on my end," Xia Yinyue said in a slightly lowered voice.

"Hmm... Okay!"

After that, the two chatted a bit more about trivial matters before ending the call.

Meanwhile, Xia Yinyue carefully stepped out of the bathtub.

Her skin was a rosy white, glistening with a dewy glow perhaps from soaking too long.

"Yinyue, what are you doing in there? You've been soaking forever. Are you coming out yet?"

A middle-aged woman's voice called out from outside the bathroom.

Hearing this, Xia Yinyue's face turned a bright shade of red as she scrambled to answer.

"Yes, Mom! I... I'll be out right away!"
