With the death of the Lich Warlord, the entire space station disintegrated.
Massive explosions engulfed the surface of the station, nearly flipping it over.
The station's descent accelerated, its structure becoming unrecognizable as it fell, resembling a dying planet leaving behind a spectacular trail of debris.
Bai Ze urgently ordered the three clans to evacuate the station immediately.
In the pitch-black void of space, countless points of light shot out from a single direction, like sparks scattering in all directions.
After an extended battle, aside from the frontline forces that bore the brunt of the meteoric Zerg's concentrated attacks, Bai Ze's remaining troops particularly the newly evolved tiger clans with their attack and defense synergy sustained minimal losses. Their coordinated efforts were unstoppable.
"Quickly replenish your space potions, and prepare for the return to our home planet," Bai Ze commanded.
"Stay vigilant. Another, even fiercer battle awaits you!"
As the main force began its return journey, Bai Ze warned his troops with unwavering seriousness.
He had sensed earlier that a peculiar electromagnetic signal had been transmitted from the Lich Warlord to the depths of space. Likely, it was a distress call sent to their home planet to request reinforcements.
Bai Ze's troops understood this implicitly. In a previous simulation, they had faced the Lich Archmage and knew the terrifying might of such an enemy far beyond what they could handle on their own.
"We shall faithfully follow the divine instructions and never fail our god's expectations!" the creatures declared in unison.
Soon after, Taotie disengaged from its sword-and-shield mode and began instructing its subordinates.
"Quick! Replenish the potions without delay and stay in formation. Full speed ahead to the home planet!"
After the main force replenished their potions, their protective shields seemed to meld with their skin, growing increasingly integrated with their bodies, like a natural extension.
Bai Ze observed this with satisfaction. His creations were inherently robust, and at this rate, a few more doses of space potions would render them fully adapted to the space environment. Eventually, they wouldn't need the potions at all.
Meanwhile, as the space station fell into ruin, the signal transmissions from Bai Ze's forces gradually disappeared during their journey.
"Bad news! The student's creations are returning to their home planet, and their signals are weakening we can't track them anymore," an observer reported from the apartment.
"Also, the farther we follow them, the stronger the energy that blocks our detection becomes," the observer added.
This was puzzling. The space station had been destroyed, and the Lich was utterly obliterated reduced to ashes. So, where was this signal-blocking energy coming from?
"I get it now. Forget about tracking them, and don't dwell on this issue," Ouyang Na said with a wave of her hand, addressing the room.
"Focus instead on searching for this region of the universe and locating the Sacred Wood Spirit!"
Her words prompted a moment of reflection among the observers.
Ouyang Na was right this was not the time to fixate on the student.
Those who had encountered the Lich firsthand knew that what Bai Ze had defeated was merely the vanguard of the Lich forces.
The fact that the vanguard had chosen this area suggested that the Sacred Wood Spirit was likely nearby.
The Lich's tendrils could transmit signals across the cosmos, and it was highly probable that reinforcements from the Lich's main force were already on their way.
Thus, they needed to act swiftly and find the Sacred Wood Spirit before the main force arrived.
With this realization, the observers split into teams and began their search.
Meanwhile, Bai Ze's forces, along with their entire planet, had concealed their presence.
Without close-range detection, locating their position from another universe would be impossible.
"Time is running out. The Lich's main force has likely received the message," Bai Ze murmured.
"This is a one-time opportunity a high-stakes gamble!"
By this point, Bai Ze's troops had returned to the home planet.
While the three clans were fighting the Lich at the space station, the Sea Emperor clan had not been idle.
Following Bai Ze's instructions, they retrieved the southern black ice and brought it back to the planet.
Layer by layer, they unsealed the ice, awakening Aurora from her slumber.
They explained everything to her, including the story of their divine creator.
Time was short, and Bai Ze couldn't explain it all in person, so he entrusted the Sea Emperor clan to convey the message on his behalf.
Now, as the three clans broke through the atmosphere and prepared to descend, the Sea Emperor clan was already waiting in the ocean. Gatanothor lifted a massive tentacle toward the sky, with Aurora standing atop it, gazing at the arriving forces.
"It seems the Sea Emperor clan has handled things well," Bai Ze mused with a smile, clearly satisfied.
Aurora, observing the three clans' arrival, wore a look of amazement similar to her reaction in the previous simulation.
As a high-intelligence lifeform resembling humans, the petite Sacred Wood Spirit had never seen such colossal creatures before.
Having just awakened from the ice, Aurora was already astounded by the Sea Emperor clan.
Now, hearing that the official forces had returned after defeating the Lich, she had wanted to witness their might only to find the scale of their arrival beyond imagination.
"For such a small planet to command two leader-level creatures... This creator is extraordinary," Aurora murmured with a furrowed brow.
At that moment, a colorful beam of light descended from the sky, revealing Bai Ze's humanoid form.
"Ahem," Bai Ze coughed lightly, interrupting Aurora's thoughts.
She quickly looked up and stepped forward.
"Greetings, the great ruler of this planet," Aurora said with a slight bow.
"I have awaited your arrival. You may call me Aurora."
"Thank you for dispatching your creatures to save my life," she continued, performing an elegant bow in the style of her people.
"I have learned from your creations about the Lich's intention to invade your planet," Aurora said with a solemn expression.
"I am willing to accept your invitation and join you in resisting the Lich's main force!"
Her tone was sincere, reflecting her genuine determination.
Bai Ze had instructed Hyper Zetton to relay much of the situation to Aurora, including the invitation to join forces against the impending Lich threat.
After all, the enemy of one's enemy is often a friend, isn't it?
