Chapter 5: The Hunt Begins
Leon stepped deeper into the Abyssal Ruins, the air thick with an eerie silence. His latest system
prompt had given him a clear goal-hunt and eliminate five Abyssal Beasts to advance. But he
quickly realized this was no ordinary test.
The first creature he encountered was a Feral Abyss Wolf , its red eyes glowing in the darkness.
It lunged at him without hesitation, its claws aiming for his throat. Leon barely dodged, his rusted
sword flashing as he counterattacked. The blade met the beast's hide with a dull scrape-it wasn't
sharp enough to cut deeply.
Realizing brute force wasn't enough, Leon relied on Void Requiem, a skill he barely understood.
The moment he activated it, tendrils of dark energy extended from his body, sapping the beast's
strength. The wolf howled in pain before collapsing, its life force drained.
[Abyssal Beast Eliminated: 1/5]
Encouraged by his victory, Leon pressed on. Each battle taught him something new-how to
anticipate attacks, how to exploit weaknesses.
[Abyssal Beast Eliminated: 4/5]
Leon moved deeper into the Abyssal Ruins searching for the final Abyssal Beast, confidence in his steps having slain 4 Abyssal Beast .
By the time he reached the final beast, his movements had become more refined, his control over Void Requiem sharper.
But the final opponent wasn't like the others.
A Dreadclaw Ravager emerged from the shadows, twice the size of the wolves. Its dark scales
gleamed under the cavern's dim light, and its massive claws looked capable of tearing through
stone.
Leon tightened his grip on his sword.
This would be his real test.
