Chapter 1: My Wish, the Enemy Gets Doubled!
"It's happening again!"
In a luxurious office, a handsome young man let out a sigh.
His name was Lin Beifan, a 20-year-old who had transmigrated into a world composed of countless urban web novels. Unfortunately, he had taken on the role of a typical prodigal villain—one doomed to be repeatedly humiliated by the protagonist.
All he did was ask his parents for money, remain ignorant and incompetent, and spend his days indulging in frivolous activities.
He was obsessed with the first female lead, Song Yuqing, and constantly clashed with the protagonist over her, only to be mercilessly humiliated every time.
At first, he remained somewhat rational, but after countless defeats, he gradually lost his sanity.
Although he survived until the end of the story, he ultimately went insane and was locked away in a mental institution.
A clichéd and overused plot!
But now that he had knowledge of the story's direction, would he still follow the same doomed path?
Of course not!
Fortunately, he had a trump card—the Wishing System.
This system had the power to grant wishes, making it seem immensely powerful. However, it came with three major limitations:
1. Only one wish could be granted per day.
2. Wishes could only be made for himself and had to be fulfilled by himself, not by external forces.
For example, wishing for his parents to be healthy wouldn't work.
Wishing for himself to be healthy would.
3. Wishes had to abide by the laws of reality—they couldn't surpass the limits of the modern urban setting and could only last for 24 hours.
Wishing for immortality or divine powers was impossible.
Despite these restrictions, the system was still incredibly powerful.
Using its abilities alongside his own ingenuity, Lin Beifan had completely crushed all the protagonists in his past life, disrupted the world's storyline, and risen to the ultimate villain status.
However, the Heavens intervened.
To correct the disrupted story, the plot was reset, and Lin Beifan was cursed.
Now, whenever he made a wish, his enemies would receive double the benefits!
Simply put, any power or advantage he gained from the system would be twice as effective for the protagonist.
The stronger he became, the stronger his enemies became.
The better his situation, the better theirs would be.
No matter what he did, he would always be a stepping stone for their success!
Lin Beifan chuckled. "Do you really think this will stop me?"
Just then, the office door opened, and a beautiful, curvaceous woman wearing glasses walked in.
"Young Master Lin, Miss Song from Song Corporation has invited you to dinner at the Ocean Restaurant at 8 PM. What would you like to do?"
Song Yuqing—the first female lead.
She was a talented and stunning woman, known as one of the "Two Golden Flowers" of Mohai City.
Her family owned a hospital, but due to outdated medical equipment, they were in urgent need of replacements. Unfortunately, their finances were tight.
Coincidentally, Lin Beifan's family specialized in medical equipment.
Thus, Song Yuqing had invited him to dinner, hoping to secure a deal on credit.
In the original storyline, this night marked Lin Beifan's first encounter with Song Yuqing.
He was instantly captivated by her beauty.
Then, the first protagonist made his grand entrance and humiliated Lin Beifan in front of her.
From that point on, their fates were intertwined, leading to countless conflicts and face-slapping moments.
But now that Lin Beifan had regressed, he had no intention of repeating the same mistakes.
This time, he would play the protagonist to death!
It was going to be fun—he was looking forward to his second run-through of the story.
With excitement in his voice, Lin Beifan nodded. "Alright, I'll go. Let her know."
"Yes, Young Master Lin!"

The Dinner Meeting
At 8 PM, Lin Beifan arrived at the Ocean Restaurant, where he met the legendary first heroine, Song Yuqing.
Of course, this wasn't the first time he had seen her.
But even after all this time, she was still breathtaking.
She stood at 1.72 meters, with a graceful, slender figure, fair skin, and delicate features. Her long, flowing black hair added to her elegance.
Dressed in a simple white suit, she radiated class and sophistication.
Song Yuqing, on the other hand, was equally surprised.
The man before her was handsome—even women would be jealous of his looks.
He appeared clean, refreshing, and well-mannered, gazing at her with gentle, unintrusive eyes.
This was completely different from the rumored image of a reckless prodigal!
Had the rumors been wrong? Or was he simply hiding his true nature?
She decided not to overthink it. The two exchanged pleasantries.
Lin Beifan apologized first. "Miss Song, I'm sorry for being late."
Song Yuqing smiled. "I just arrived myself. I haven't ordered yet—what would you like to eat?"
"Whatever the guest prefers!" Lin Beifan replied politely.
"You're too courteous. Since I'm treating you, let's just pick something simple."
Lin Beifan took the menu and ordered with a smile. "I'll have a medium-rare filet mignon and foie gras... and two cups of black tea, served hot. Thank you!"
Sitting across from him, Song Yuqing was astonished.
"Mr. Lin, these are exactly my favorite dishes! How did you know?"
Lin Beifan chuckled internally. Of course, I know! You're my wife—I even know how many moles you have on your body!
But since the story had reset and they weren't familiar yet, he couldn't reveal that.
He smiled modestly. "Just a lucky guess! I didn't expect to get it right."
Song Yuqing giggled. "You're amazing! But you got one thing wrong—I actually prefer iced black tea."
Lin Beifan's expression remained calm. "You've had stomach issues recently. Hot tea is better for you."
Song Yuqing's eyes widened slightly. "How do you know I have a bad stomach? Don't tell me you guessed that too?"
"Not this time," Lin Beifan replied with a faint smile. "I observed it from your appearance."
"You have dark circles under your eyes and dry lips. The air conditioner is set at 25°C, yet you're wearing an extra layer of clothing. Plus, your body temperature is low, and you've been subconsciously touching your abdomen several times."
He paused before concluding, "All of these signs suggest you've been experiencing stomach discomfort due to irregular eating habits and staying up late."
Song Yuqing was stunned. "You can tell all that just from looking? That's incredible! Have you studied Chinese medicine?"
Lin Beifan waved his hand. "Not formally—I just know a little."
As the two continued chatting over dinner, Song Yuqing became more and more intrigued.
The rumors had to be false.
Wasn't he supposed to be an ignorant troublemaker?
Yet he seemed well-versed in every subject.
Medicine, economics, social sciences, meteorology, entertainment—even philosophy!
Despite her double master's degrees, she felt like he was on an entirely different level.
Seeing her look of confusion, Lin Beifan simply smiled.
In his past life, he had wished for super learning abilities and mastered countless fields of knowledge.
Even after being reborn, those memories remained intact.
