"Hahahaha..."
The trading floor of Longya Capital erupted with laughter.
Dragon King Zhao Tian swirled his champagne glass, grinning from ear to ear. "Lin Beifan must have never imagined that soybean prices would drop by 7% in such a short time! He must be completely dumbfounded right now! Hahaha!"
"A 7% drop means he's lost at least 700 to 800 million! I can already picture his face—pale one moment, green the next, utterly shocked and devastated! Hahaha!"
"Congratulations, Dragon King! Congratulations!" The men in black cheered in unison.
"I'm feeling great! But we're not stopping here! Keep pushing it down! Hit the limit and make sure Lin Beifan never recovers!" Zhao Tian ordered, his eyes gleaming with malice.
"Yes, Dragon King!" His subordinates responded eagerly.
On the Other Side...
Lin Beifan was also admiring the sea of green on the trading screen.
Because for every percentage drop, he made even more money.
"Mr. Lin, should we close our positions now?" someone asked.
Lin Beifan shook his head with a confident smile. "Not yet. Let it drop a bit more! I have a feeling that today, just like yesterday, the price will hit the lower limit. Once it falls past 9%, we'll cash out!"
"Understood, Mr. Lin!"
The traders were exhilarated, their eyes glued to the screen.
Just then, Lin Beifan noticed someone sneaking out.
"Brother, where are you going?" he called out.
Angkor froze mid-step, then forced a smile. "Uh... just returning this water bottle!"
"No rush!" Lin Beifan swiftly approached, grabbing him by the shoulder. "This is the most thrilling part! If you miss it now, you won't get another chance. Stay and watch!"
Angkor was growing anxious. "But—"
"Look! Another dramatic moment is unfolding!"
As soon as Lin Beifan spoke, the screen refreshed. Soybean prices dropped another 1%!
Another refresh—another 1% plunge!
Lin Beifan chuckled. "Brother, was I right? We've hit a 9% drop!"
A stiff, reluctant smile formed on Angkor's face. "Yeah! You're absolutely right!"
Internally, however, he was screaming in frustration.
Dragon King, are you stupid?!
Your brain must be filled with garbage!
You're handing Lin Beifan free money again! How are you this dumb?!
I swear, I want to kill you right now!
"Mr. Lin, should we close our positions now?" a trader asked eagerly.
"Yes, sell everything! Let's not be greedy for that last penny!" Lin Beifan smiled.
Meanwhile, at Longya Capital Headquarters...
"Dragon King, the market is seeing large buy orders, pushing soybean prices back up!"
"No matter how many orders come in, swallow them all and push the price down again!" Zhao Tian bellowed. "No one can save Lin Beifan today! Not even God! Not even if I say so!"
"Yes, Dragon King!"
And so, Zhao Tian personally absorbed all of Lin Beifan's sell orders, unknowingly finalizing Lin Beifan's profits.
Back at Lin Beifan's Trading Room...
"YES!"
The room erupted into cheers.
"Another billion in profit today!"
"This is insane! We were on the edge of disaster, but we turned it around again!"
"I nearly had a heart attack, but now it's pure joy!"
"God is truly on our side!"
Only Angkor stood frozen, staring blankly at the screen.
The price had officially hit the lower limit.
Lin Beifan had already sold everything.
It's over. There's no turning back.
That bastard Lin Beifan just made another billion!
And it happened right in front of me!
"Ugh..." Angkor clutched his chest, feeling a sharp pain. His heart ached—physically and emotionally.
"Brother, what's wrong? You don't look well," Lin Beifan asked with concern.
Angkor forced a pale smile. "Soybean prices... they've been too volatile! The sudden 10% drop... it's just too intense for me! I need a moment!"
Lin Beifan laughed heartily. "It really was thrilling! If I hadn't accidentally pressed the wrong button, I could have lost billions! But hey, looks like fate is on my side! I bet someone out there is crying from their losses right now! Hahaha!"
Angkor nodded stiffly.
Yes, someone is crying.
A complete idiot.
An absolute fool.
At Longya Capital Headquarters...
Laughter and cheers filled the room.
Dragon King Zhao Tian leaned back in his chair, eyes closed in satisfaction. "Soybean futures hit the lower limit. Lin Beifan must have been wiped out by now, right? He bought 200,000 lots—his entire position must have been liquidated by now! Hahaha!"
"I bet his face is a rainbow of emotions right now—pale, green, purple—like a whole damn color palette! Hahaha!"
"Congratulations, Dragon King!"
"Let's celebrate! Bring out my finest 1982 champagne!" Zhao Tian declared with glee.
"Thank you, Dragon King!"
Zhao Tian smirked. "Now, get in touch with Angkor. I want the latest update! Better yet, send me a photo of Lin Beifan's devastated face!"
Unable to contain his excitement, he grabbed a phone and personally sent Angkor a message.
> "How bad is it? Lin Beifan must be in total despair now, right? Tell me how much he lost! Bonus points if you can send me a picture of his reaction! Hahaha!"
He even added a smug emoji.
Meanwhile, Angkor had just stepped out of the trading room when he saw the message.
His face twisted in rage.
He finally had an outlet for all his pent-up frustration.
Angkor: Are you f*ing serious?!
Man in Black: ???
Angkor: You absolute moron! You just threw money straight into Lin Beifan's hands!
Man in Black: Huh? What are you talking about?
Angkor: Not only are you stupid, but your whole family must be stupid! Your ancestors are probably rolling in their graves!
Man in Black: ...How dare you insult us?!
Angkor: You think that's bad? I'll curse you and your entire bloodline into oblivion!
Angkor: Dumbass!
Angkor: Idiot!!
Angkor: Piece of s**t!!!
Man in Black: ...
Back at Longya Capital, Zhao Tian's good mood evaporated instantly.
His face turned black as he tossed the phone aside.
"This Angkor must be possessed by a demon! He's lost his damn mind!"
Then, with a menacing glare, he turned to his men.
"Curse him back! Make sure he regrets ever texting us!"
"Yes, Dragon King!"
And so, a full-blown text war erupted.
