Outside God Valley.
Several pirate ships had just set sail.
The pirates onboard thought they were about to escape, only to be met with a sky filled with cannon fire. Shells rained down like they were free, bombarding the ships relentlessly.
Boom! Boom!
Explosions erupted across the sea.
"It's the Marines reinforcements!"
"Hey, what the hell is this?! Boom!"
"Fight back!"
"Flying Slash!"
"The hull is leaking!"
"Damn it!"
"Hurry, fix the ship!"
The Buster Call fleet had arrived.
Forty massive, specially crafted warships opened fire in unison. The pirates immediately fell into chaos. Some fought back. Some panicked. Some died.
"Lion: Scattering Valley!"
Just as despair began to set in among the pirates, a loud, arrogant voice rang out. From the sky, numerous giant golden slashes came crashing down, striking the Marines warships.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The slashes sliced through the ships, tearing large sections apart. Some were nearly split in two. Fortunately, the Buster Call warships were heavily reinforced, keeping them from breaking completely.
Two ships, led by vice admirals, managed to withstand the attack. The others, commanded by rear admirals, were not so lucky. They couldn't hold up and were completely wrecked.
The attack came suddenly, but unlike the pirates, the Marines did not descend into panic.
"Cease fire.
"Gather the wounded. Nearby ships, move in for boarding.
"Transfer the injured and supplies.
"Form into units. Two ships per group, move toward the vice admirals' vessels."
Vice Admiral Morris issued command after command, his steady orders keeping the fleet from falling into disorder.
...
On the other side.
"It's Captain Shiki!"
"We're saved! Captain Shiki!"
"Captain! Over here!"
Shiki descended from the sky, looking at the cheering pirates below. He grinned.
"Don't panic, boys."
He raised his right hand, flipped it over, and moved his fingers slightly. As if responding to his command, the pirate ships rose from the sea, floating into formation behind him and coming to a steady halt. Only then did the pirates finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Many collapsed on the deck, sobbing uncontrollably. Shiki, however, turned his gaze toward Rocks' ship. He reached out and made a grabbing motion in the air.
Rumble!
The massive flagship trembled, pushing aside everything around it as it tore free from the water. It lifted into the sky, soaring toward Shiki. The moment the pirates saw this, their faces paled. Frozen in fear, they stared at the airborne warship, not daring to utter a word.
Shiki noticed their reaction. His brow twitched as if he'd just figured something out. On his way here, he had seen countless corpses of elderly people littering the ground. But he didn't care. Instead, he laughed heartily and said,
"Shihahahaha! Linlin, let's join forces. Follow me, and we'll conquer the New World together!"
"I refuse, Shiki. Right now... I just want to kill!"
As the massive flagship settled in place, a voice echoed from within. A tall, imposing woman stepped out of the cabin.
Her clothes, corroded by magma, barely clung to her body, exposing large patches of skin. Yet, not a single soul dared to look directly at her.
Shiki's grin faltered but said nothing more. He simply waited quietly for a certain someone to arrive.
As for Big Mom, the moment the words "I just want to kill" left her lips, an overwhelming killing intent erupted from her.
The Mythical Zoan Fruit had already been found and fed to Kaido. His wounds had healed, but the left lung that had been burned to ashes by magma would never regenerate.
The loss of an organ—its impact on his future was obvious. And that was why Big Mom could no longer suppress her rage.
She summoned Zeus. Thunderclouds gathered in the sky, spreading like a massive storm.
Rumble!
Thunder roared continuously. Within moments, the entire sky was swallowed by dark clouds. Not a single ray of sunlight remained.
Her eyes locked onto the marine fleet before her—the ships of the Buster Call.
Big Mom's killing intent could no longer be contained. Her voice, filled with hatred, resounded across the sky.
"God of Lightning Tenjin!!!"
In an instant, lightning raged.
Bolts of electricity surged from all directions, gathering above the Buster Call fleet. Before the marines could retreat into the cabins, thousands of lightning strikes rained down.
The warships were bombarded endlessly.
These bolts of lightning weren't random; they seemed to have a will of their own. If one missed or was blocked, it would change direction and chase the nearest target.
Within seconds, many marines were struck unconscious or injured.
Seeing this, a vice admiral with a long sword at his waist could no longer sit still. He leaped onto the deck, drew his famed blade, and coated it in Armament Haki. With a single swing, a sword slash shaped like a shooting star soared into the sky.
As it rose, it expanded rapidly. By the time it pierced the thunderclouds, it had grown to nearly a hundred meters in size. The moment it made contact, the energy exploded outward, rippling through the sky like a stone dropped into water.
Boom!
A massive portion of the storm clouds was instantly dispersed above the fleet. At the same time, the vice admiral swiftly gave orders, directing the marines to tend to the wounded.
Officers from each ship emerged onto the decks, gathering toward the leading warship. They stood firm, ready for battle, their eyes locked onto the powerful pirates standing in the distance.
"Indra!"
Big Mom's enraged roar shook the heavens.
She unleashed her power, pulling every storm cloud toward the gap in the sky, stacking them layer upon layer. Thunder rumbled louder and louder, fusing into a single deafening roar, until the storm clouds compressed into a colossal thunderstorm.
Then—
Bolts of lightning, thick as pillars, crashed down toward the warships. From the marines side, streaks of sword slashes shot forth, meeting the lightning in a violent clash.
The surrounding sea lit up in an endless storm of light.
...
Click. Clack. Click. Clack.
Amid the chaos, the measured sound of steady footsteps rang out—firm and unhurried, boots clicking against wooden planks.
Shiki turned, finally laying eyes on the one he had been waiting for. His grin widened. With genuine sincerity, he spoke.
"Newgate, let's join forces and turn this world upside down."
"You know I have no interest in that, Shiki."
The last to arrive, Whitebeard, stepped up beside Shiki. Staring out at the vast ocean, he spoke.
For a moment, he seemed lost in thought. Whatever he saw made him smile faintly.
"What I want... is family."
"One after another... really..."
Even though Shiki had expected this outcome, a wave of disappointment still washed over him. He let out a sigh, shaking his head.
"Alright, Linlin. It's time to go."
Adjusting his mindset, he turned to Big Mom, lifted his right hand, curled his fingers upward, then flicked them forward.
The few remaining pirate ships soared into the sky, heading toward the New World.
Big Mom, having unleashed her fury for a while, had regained some sense of clarity. She didn't say much. Instead, she commanded Zeus to compress the thunderstorm, forcing it down toward the Buster Call fleet.
As the storm loomed just a few hundred meters above the warships, the vice admiral who had shattered the earlier clouds stepped forward once more.
With his left hand gripping a sheath and his right hand holding his sword, he steadied himself.
A brief moment of focus. Then, with a powerful push of his legs—
Whoosh!
In an instant, he appeared high in the sky, facing the descending storm. His blade swung.
"One-Sword Style: Void Sever."
An invisible slash tore through the storm, cutting it from bottom to top. At first, the thundercloud showed no reaction, continuing its descent.
The swordsman landed back on the deck.
Click.
His sword slid smoothly into its sheath.
Only then did the storm seem to register what had happened. With a loud boom, it split apart, crashing into the ocean on either side of the fleet.
Crackle... Boom!
Endless lightning storms exploded across the water. For miles, the sea churned as countless fish and sea kings floated to the surface, stunned or lifeless.
...
Meanwhile, deep underground, several hundred meters beneath the central battlefield, Sakazuki came to a halt.
He sent out a faint pulse of Observation Haki, probing the surface. The moment it touched the ground, he quickly retracted it.
Above, waves of Conqueror's Haki clashed wildly, filling the sky with oppressive energy. None of the combatants noticed that brief flicker of Observation Haki from below.
Sakazuki guided the magma's flow, carving out several eruption paths.
Then, he withdrew.
He didn't resurface until he reached the outskirts of God Valley. Emerging from the ground, he strode toward the island's edge.
All he had to do now was wait.
Once the battle above shook the island's foundation—or when the right moment arrived—the endless magma would erupt, consuming everything like the wrath of an unforgiving god.
And along with the island, buried beneath the earth...
Would be a super warship, marked with a serial number. A relic from a time that did not belong to this era.
