A Cheating Girlfriend

Meanwhile inside the apartment, Winona couldn't help but pinch her wrist real hard. It seems that her IQ had begun to reduce day by day, not to mention the poor memory.

How had she forgotten about today's main schedule, the reason she had been this busy the entire morning.

After pacing about, Winona peeked through the pinhole glancing at the figure standing outside.

Enoch was wearing black sweatpants, a casual black t-shirt with a baseball cap and black slides that complimented his dark attire. His hair neatly combed backwards.

All in whole, is one's favorite color..

Therefore, not giving him a compliment would sound very inhospitable. For the man standing a'front of Winona appeared somewhat more handsome today.

Besides, apart from the regular doctor's attire today is the day that Winona has seen him appear this casual.

Giving it much thought, Winona rushed to the bathroom rather than slumber into pondering.

At least thirty minutes later, the apartment door opened no sooner had Enoch wanted to knock, again.

" You look demure today, Dr Anderson", Winona chuckled as she elbowed him.

However, Enoch did not reply immediately not until Winona's elbow hit his.

At this moment, Winona wore a tailored boyfriend jean and a white collar free shirt tucked half way and the other hanging outside, her long hair tide in a ponytail.

There's kind a milky plus herbal scent emanating from her, she now appeared fresh different from her previous disheveled self. So, it turned out that she was just taking a shower.

However, the previous scene portrayed a cheating girlfriend avoiding her lover and main chick from crossing paths.

When she slummed the door earlier, it had indeed taken him off guard. However, she had never mentioned to him on having a boyfriend..

Not quite familiar with her compliment, Enoch presumption was a you look good statement.

" You look more beautiful today, Winona. Come I need to take you somewhere", after saying so, Enoch begun to walk away.

Yet, just after taking four steps ahead, he turned back glancing at Winona who had also begun to follow suit.

" Don't call me what you just did, we are not at work so let's not get professional ".

" Ok", Winona replied while raising a brow.

As they walked past several blocks, Winona was the first to put in a conversation." So, how did you find my apartment? "

" Opposite to the golden panini hotel, apartment #57, flat 3. You gave me the details through message "

" Oh! Yeah I did. I bet it took you time to find mine, there are a lot of flats here", Winona replied through greeted teeth, literally embarrassed.

However, Enoch only replied with a smile.

" Do you have any family members or friends, apart from your colleagues in orange county?" Enoch asked, his hands tucked inside his pocket pants.

" Well, no family members here only a close friend"

" Oh, I see"

" So, where is Dr- I mean where are we headed today "

" You'll see, we are almost there "

Having walked passed more blocks, Winona couldn't take it. " Bro, I can't walk anymore ".

Enock raised an eyebrow, they had just walked for twenty minutes. This couldn't have covered a long distance to a point where one failed even to walk.

Do women always throw a such a fuss, an involuntary smile appeared at the latter's lips unbeknownst to anyone.

" Then, let me carry you ", he said while teasing only to be slapped on the face.

" No can't do, only my boyfriend is allowed to do that "

" Maybe... "

An incoming call abrupted Enoch's sentence, " sir, there is a traffic jam, I'm sorry I won't make it in time ", outlined the other party.

Hence, taking Winona to a nearby hotpot restaurant.

At this restaurant, the layout was divided into four parts. Among which, family zone, friend zone, peace minus one zone and the couple zone.

These other zones having being occupied, only the couple zone remained and one seat on the single minus one zone.

Enoch glanced helplessly at Winona as they made there way to take seats.

The good part about this restaurant and as to why it is a social attraction with a five star rating is simple.

Customers are offered a menu of selecting uncooked food in which they are accustomed to cook themselves.

This gives families bonding time let alone those seeking quality time with their soulmates or on one's behalf.

Enoch handed the menu to Winona for the selection. Yet, she only chose, pasta, bacon and eggs.

" You don't like the food?", He questioned.

Rubbing her nose, Winona replied, " I.. I don't know how to cook".

When he glanced at her, she didn't look as if she was joking. So she only depends on takeouts...

Enoch then took the menu acting as the lead role in making other few selections.

Soon enough, the waiter ascended with a tray filled with meat, chicken, cabbage, rice and other varieties. Yet, with an exception of pasta.

He wasn't that of a foodie himself, rather doing it for the woman a'front of him who had been missing out a lot in life.

In about thirty minutes or so the food was ready and Winona had been focused on watching Enoch as he showcased his cooking skills.

Before the chef could even pick up his chopsticks, the observer had already begun munching on the dishes.

" Bro, this taste real good. I never knew that you could cook", Winona outlined through her full mouth.

"Maybe, I should just move in to your house so that I can be eating what you cook everyday", she added teasingly.

Upon hearing her last sentence, Enoch's heart skipped a beat. Then he replied, " you should probably move in".

For the the next few minutes they ate in silince.

" Winona, maybe -"

"Hey, no talking when eating. Where are your table manners?"

With that, Enoch made a zip gesture assuring that he shut his mouth and swallowed whatever wanted to come out of it.

Beep! Beep! Two automatic sounds resounded on the table, both Enoch and Winona staring at each other then back to their wrists.

Only one thing was evident, an emergency.

" Jeez, can't they pick a better time", Winona complained.

" Come on let's go"

"But I'm still hungry".

" I will tell the staff to pack everything for you, for now we need to go!"

When they they descended from the restaurant, a car had long been waiting for them.

" You..."
