"Arrest Mitokado Homura, the Hokage Advisor."
For Renn, it wasn't a big deal.
"As the captain of the Konoha Police Force, I suspect you of betraying the village. Arresting you for questioning makes perfect sense, doesn't it?"
Just a Hokage advisor.
"If you want to take him in, then do it. This is the authority of the Konoha Police Force!"
Renn still couldn't understand why the Uchiha Police Force in the original story was so powerless. With such a significant position, the results depended entirely on whose hands wielded it.
The Konoha Management Regulations were signed by the Hokage himself. Combined with the confession provided by Mitokado Homura's son, the arrest was entirely justified—both legally and procedurally.
As for why they were making this arrest? That was simple.
The presence of Hatake Kakashi, a recognized measure of combat power, made the Hokage's stance crystal clear.
"Trying to pass this off as a misunderstanding? Did you even ask me?"
Renn chuckled, then turned to leave.
As captain of the Konoha Police Force, he had full jurisdiction over the matter. He wasn't even obligated to report the confession to the Hokage—exposing the entire situation outright wouldn't be an issue either.
Originally, he had expected Mitokado Homura to negotiate with him directly, which would have been beneficial for everyone involved. However, the Hokage attempting to exert pressure in this way irritated him greatly.
The Third Hokage's stance was clear:
He had personally intervened to protect Mito Ido, Mitokado Homura's son.
In response, Renn had arrested Homura himself, making his own statement loud and clear.
"If you want to protect someone, you need my permission."
That was the reality of the situation.
Renn wouldn't need to handle the rest personally. It was just an arrest—nothing complicated.
He was confident that after a thorough interrogation tonight, the esteemed Hokage advisor would "volunteer" some interesting information.
Nightfall – Uchiha Clan District
Inside a mansion more extravagant than even the Uchiha patriarch's residence, Kurenai Yuhi observed the woman before her with curiosity.
She claimed to be Uchiha Renn's maid.
The woman was stunning—waist-length hair, delicate features.
Of course, Uzumaki Kushina, who had altered her appearance, wasn't concerned about Kurenai recognizing her. The disguise crafted for her by that manipulative bastard was different from a simple Transformation Jutsu—even if she walked around in broad daylight, no one would suspect her true identity.
Her punishment from Renn earlier had been entirely due to his obsessive need for control—he despised anyone acting on their own.
Still…
What a beast.
Bringing another woman home?
The fiery-tempered "Little Chili" pouted in displeasure.
But Kushina knew better—if she didn't want to cause trouble for Renn, she couldn't expose her identity.
And she had no right to complain.
Being rescued by Renn and becoming his maid was already her fortune.
"Renn Kun!"
A figure entered the room.
A young, innocent girl, her face flushed as she hesitantly approached.
They had parted ways earlier at the dumpling shop, and now her boyfriend had specifically asked her to come here and wait for him.
Excitement. Nervousness. A hint of anticipation.
"Y-You… you asked me to come here… why?"
Kurenai's voice was soft, hesitant.
She had no idea what awaited her.
Kushina, who had already experienced it firsthand, glanced at her with a mixture of amusement and pity.
Ha.
If only she could warn Kurenai not to come.
She knew exactly what kind of man Renn was.
Even with the strong vitality of an Uzumaki, she hadn't been able to endure him—she had blacked out from sheer exhaustion.
And this poor girl… was far too fragile to stand a chance.
"I'm a straight man," Renn said casually.
Today, the Hokage's advisor, father and son, were arrested—along with the Hokage's own son.
But that didn't stop Renn from enjoying his life in the slightest.
He was well aware that his actions would leave a certain scheming old man sleepless tonight, but Renn felt that he would certainly sleep soundly himself.
As she gazed at her handsome boyfriend, Kurenai Yuhi suddenly gathered her courage. Rolling her eyes slightly, she recalled the words of her old best friend, Anko Mitarashi.
Sakura's lips parted slightly as she hesitated, her cheeks turning red.
"Renn Kun… you can't be too reckless!"
At that moment, something within Renn switched.
With a predatory grin, the man—whose nature was anything but reserved—scooped up the blushing Kurenai and rushed toward the bedroom.
The next day.
When Might Guy and Renn reappeared on the Hokage Monument, Renn looked refreshed. He listened to the system's notification in his mind, glanced at today's rewards, and smiled in satisfaction.
Might Guy, grinning, gave a thumbs-up as he always did.
Then, without hesitation, he launched an attack.
Boom!
A brief clash.
Predictably, the man who prided himself on self-discipline was sent flying backward.
Too strong.
Guy scratched his head, then grabbed Renn's outstretched hand to pull himself up.
Hmm…
With his current strength, if Renn truly wanted a good fight, Might Guy would have to open at least the Seventh or even Eighth Gate.
But the power gap didn't affect Renn's recognition of Guy as a friend—the same man who, in another timeline, had nearly ended the war with a single kick.
"I made a suggestion to the Hokage," Renn said suddenly, his tone casual.
"The one about expanding the security forces?"
Guy's eyes lit up as he quickly confirmed it.
Admiring someone as a friend was one thing, but in Guy's mind, doing business together was the ultimate form of acknowledgment!
More than that, he wanted to stay close to Renn—to understand how this man trained, what made his strength so terrifying.
Renn knew exactly what Guy was thinking.
But if Guy actually saw how he spent his days—indulging in luxury and idleness—he might be sorely disappointed.
Well…
But that was fine. After all, Might Guy was still Might Guy. Even surrounded by distractions, he would still find ways to train, doing one-handed push-ups or running laps around the village for no reason.
Renn had brought this up now because he knew one thing for certain: if Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't want to make the situation worse, today's events would unfold exactly as he anticipated.
Even his previous proposal—to expand the security force—was now likely to pass.
Under normal circumstances, the Third Hokage would never have approved such a thing. The Security Force was essentially Uchiha territory, and expanding it would mean giving the Uchiha more authority—something Hiruzen had always been wary of.
What's more, Renn's proposal wasn't limited to Uchiha alone. He had suggested recruiting skilled ninja from various clans across the village.
That alone had been enough for Hiruzen to suppress the request outright.
But after today's events, things were no longer so certain.
That belief solidified when Renn, fresh from a shower, arrived at the Konoha Police Force headquarters—only to find the Third Hokage himself, standing at the entrance with a grim expression.
"Well, well… Lord Third, it's been a while," Renn said, stepping toward him.
Towering over Sarutobi with an unmistakable air of confidence, Renn's casual demeanor showed not a trace of respect.
Then, under the shocked gazes of everyone around, Renn did something utterly unthinkable.
He reached out—
And placed his hand on Sarutobi Hiruzen's head.
Like an elder encouraging a junior, as if the man standing before him was not the leader of the village but a mere subordinate.
The crowd held their breath.
Renn smirked.
"So, Lord Hokage…"
"Are you here to pay the fine for your son?"
