The Encounter with Black Magicians

Shirone was stunned after hearing the full story from Seriel.

The fact that a delinquent circle called Black Magicians existed was shocking enough, but what shook him even more was that Amy had risked herself for his sake.

Shirone: "So in the end, she went because of me. But how can you just sit here like this?"

Seriel: "I don't know either! Amy told me to wait! But why are you even here?!"

Shirone read Amy's thoughts.

'She must be trying to handle it alone to keep the secret. The one-hour grace period is a kind of insurance.'

Leaving Seriel behind was an excellent decision.

Shirone: "I have to go too. Senior, please wait here as Amy instructed until the promised time."

Shirone's judgment was the same as Amy's.

He didn't mind if his secret was revealed, but he couldn't put someone else's secret at risk by asking for help.

There were still 30 minutes left until the appointed time, but Training Ground 14, where the real combat training took place, was deep in the mountains.

Just as he thought about running non-stop, his body suddenly felt lighter.

Turning his head, he realized that Seriel had already grabbed him with both arms and was flying.

Seriel: "How long do you think running will take? I'll just go with you."

Their bodies were wrapped in light, and the fundamental magic of a wizard, short-distance teleportation, was cast.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Flashes blinked at 10-meter intervals, and the burst of airwaves made the students look up.

Student: "What the? Who's..."

Teleportation was banned within the school due to the risk of collision accidents, but there was no time to worry about that.

In less than five minutes, the two arrived at the foot of the mountain and began climbing at a quick pace.

Teleportation was as dangerous as it was fast—if used recklessly in steep, obstacle-laden mountains, it could cost them their lives.

Panting heavily, they reached Training Ground 14 before six o'clock.

But Amy wasn't there, and not only were there no Black Magicians, there wasn't even a sign of anyone.

Shirone: "Amy! Amy! What happened? Why isn't she here?"

Seriel: "Maybe they took her somewhere else? Since the meeting place was exposed in the note, they wouldn't have ruled out the possibility of reporting it to the teachers. We might have been tricked."

Shirone: "Then what about Amy?"

Realizing the cunning of the Black Magicians, Shirone stopped overanalyzing the situation.

Shirone: "Go down the mountain now and tell the teachers everything. You'll be much faster without me."

Seriel: "B-but Amy told me to wait until seven no matter what! She said there was a reason!"

Shirone: "It's fine. That reason is because of me. If I help, nothing will happen, so hurry."

Seriel's face went blank.

Was Amy's desperate expression because of Shirone?

Seriel: "What exactly is your relationship? What am I missing? Are you two really dating?"

Officially, Shirone had been dumped, but there were even rumors that it was just a ruse.

Shirone: "There's no time. If we delay any longer, it'll be dangerous."

At Shirone's words, Seriel quickly snapped back to reality.

Seriel: "Alright, alright! I'll be back soon, so don't go wandering around. Stay here."

As Seriel ran down the mountain, Shirone closed his eyes and expanded his Spirit Zone.

Unlike nobles, he had spent his life in the mountains, so the dense forest was more familiar than foreign.

Moreover, with his senses expanded to a 40-meter radius, he could easily track signs.

'Here.'

Footprints were imprinted on the ground.

'But this is all. A human's stride doesn't exceed 10 meters, so they must have moved through the air...'

As he pondered in frustration, a burst of air echoed from the northern sky.

'North!'

Shirone's head snapped in that direction.
