Kai didn't answer right away. Instead, he walked forward slowly, stopped within inches of her.

She nodded. "We will not return to the old and destroyed kingdom. Our ties to the Crimson kingdom are broken. There was nobody left alive for us to return. We will fight with you now. One day, we hope you help us rebuild our people."

"Then I welcome you all with open arms," Kai said.
