Tiding things up, and time passing.

Now I had a mid-long term goal in mind, which was fucking over any Treasure Hoarder I found and permanently revoking the life privileges of the assholes who stole my fish.

But at the moment, I knew I wasn't strong enough to take on mid-rank, let alone higher-up Treasure Hoarders all at once. So first, I needed to grind.

I wanted to go out and hunt actual monsters to gain EXP, but my rational side immediately shut that idea down. I needed to get a little stronger first. so some short-term goals.

Buy a sword or make one.

Buy a good quality bow.

Save up over 100k Mora.

And reach level 5.

Once all that was done, I'd become an adventurer. Since by then, I'd easily be able to take out multiple low-levelled hilichurls, and if in trouble, put up duces and "fuck this shit I'm out" away.

---

With my fishing setup back in place, I sighed, hoping this time it wouldn't get stolen. If I had enough mana, I'd be burying landmines under the dirt as a little surprise for any pieces of shits trying to steal from me again. But, alas, I wasn't quite there yet.

So instead, I resorted to prayer.

Dear Barbatos,Please don't let my fish be stolen again. OR I SWEAR TO ALL THAT IS HOLY I WILL BE COMMITTING A MOTHER FUCKING MURDER.Thank you.

With that settled, I dusted off my hands and turned away. leaving to go back to monstadt.

It was now afternoon, and I was leaning against a wall, waiting for Draff to show up. Since I had time to kill, I figured I might as well try to get some information early, just in case.

Approaching the two gatekeeping knights, I casually called out, "Hey, Swan, Lawrence. Any news from the Knights of Favonius about the Treasure Hoarders?"

Swan blinked, looking slightly caught off guard. "Huh? Ah, um, Treasure Hoarders? Doesn't seem so."

Lawrence shook his head. "Haven't heard anything yet."

I clicked my tongue. "Really? tsk, What a pity."

Not that I was too bothered. It would've been nice to have a lead, but it wasn't necessary. I'd find them one way or another. future me's problem.

"Though, I did hear Captain Kaeya mention some suspicious fellows hanging around the beach," Swan added. "But he was occupied with other matters, and by the time he returned, they had already left. Hopefully, this bit of information can aid you."

Before I could ask for more details, I spotted Draff waving from the corner of my eye. I straightened up off the wall, giving the knights a quick nod before turning and running up to him.

"I figured I'd let you finish chatting instead of butting in," Draff said with a chuckle. "But we should get moving. The other hunters from my village have already gone ahead. If we take any longer, we might not have much left to hunt."

"Fair enough," I replied, adjusting my stance as we set off.

The trek into the woods felt familiar now. The sun hung lower than yesterday, casting long shadows between the trees. Birds chirped in the distance, and the occasional rustling hinted at small creatures darting through the underbrush.

Draff, as usual, took the lead, keeping an eye out for fresh tracks. "You're getting the hang of this," he commented as I matched his quiet steps. "Most newbies are clunky as hell, scaring away half the prey before they even get close."

I smirked. "Hunting's not too different from what I'm used to."

He raised a brow but didn't question it. Instead, he crouched down, pointing at a faint set of tracks in the dirt. "Boar, maybe two. Fresh." His voice dropped lower. "We'll circle around, use the wind to our advantage. Ready?"

"no need, I'm always ready."

For the next week and a half, which was longer than originally planned, I continued hunting alongside Draff. Every day, we tracked and took down anything we could find, then hauled our kills back to Mondstadt to sell directly to various merchants. The routine became second nature, wake up early, get fish, sell fish, wait till afternoon, hunt until dust, sell the goods, rest, and repeat.

On average, I earned around 18,000 Mora per day from hunting alone. After ten days, that totalled 180,000 Mora. Of course, daily necessities and minor expenses ate into my earnings, but even after that, I managed to save up a solid 150,000 Mora in profit.

But that wasn't my only source of income.

There was also fishing.

Ever since the second day, there had been no more incidents of theft. Whether it was luck or venti listening to my prayer, I didn't really care. What mattered was that every fish I caught from then on went straight to my pockets. Over those same ten days, my fishing profits added up to another 167k Mora.

Bringing my total savings to a grand total of 317k Mora.

meaning I had plenty for what I needed.

what I had gained through hunting and fishing wasn't much daily, but after 10 days I had gotten enough to barely level up to level 5, and with my continued use of the bow, I was now level 4 in Hunter's archery, but I had to first spend around a couple hundred Exp to get their, but since I had extra it was all good.

so now my statues panel was like this.

Name: Shiro

Now at level 5, I could probably wipe the floor with my past self—no questions asked. The difference in strength and speed alone was ridiculous. I knew that, realistically, I was only strong by normal people's standards. Sure, I might be able to take on a Knight of Favonius, but that wouldn't be because of strength or speed. but only cause of my skill and experience.

Draff, for one, had been getting more and more shocked by my rapid improvement. My archery had gone from decent to downright deadly. Before, I needed to get close to my targets, but now? I could take down a boar with a single shot from a distance that most hunters wouldn't even attempt. Each day, my accuracy improved, and each day, hunting became easier.

and it didn't take long before, I was breezing through hunting like I was playing a shooter against bots, that only knew how to walk slowly.

Now, after selling our loot, we stood in Mondstadt's marketplace, counting our earnings. Including the first day, it had been 11 days since we started hunting together.

Draff stretched, letting out a satisfied sigh. "Alright, it's been quite a while, and it looks like the influx of wild beasts in Whispering Woods and Stormbearer Mountain has returned to normal levels. Probably won't spike again anytime soon. So, I'm gonna take a nice, long break and splurge on myself... and drinks."

He shot me a grin. "I don't think there's much left for me to teach you anyway. Maybe in a couple of months, you'll be better than me. But for now, you're on your own."

I flashed a grin and gave him a dramatic look. "Aw, really? Do you think I'd be that great at it? That's so kind of you."

Draff chuckled. "Haha! Yes, really. Anyway, drop by Springvale when you've got the time."

"Yeah, yeah, I'll think about it," I said, waving a hand dismissively.

He laughed, shaking his head. "You're an odd one, kid. Stay out of trouble."

I smirked "No way, I can't agree to that now can I?" I shot back and walked off. With that, we parted ways.

him heading off to get wasted in Springvale, and I went to do other things,

First things first: weapons. My bow had been fine for hunting, but it was still basic. If I wanted to fight without struggling, I needed better gear.

I made my way to Wagner's forge, the clanging of metal growing louder as I approached. The blacksmith was hammering away at a glowing-hot blade, the heat from the forge making the air shimmer.

I waited for him to finish his strike before speaking up. "good morning wanger"

Wagner grunted in acknowledgement, barely sparing me a glance as he lifted the blade with a pair of tongs, inspecting the metal under the glow of the forge. His apprentice, Schulz, was busy tossing more firewood into the furnace, sweat dripping down his brow from the intense heat.

With one final strike of his hammer, Wagner finally looked up at me. "Ah, it's you. The young hunter. What brings you here?"

I'd been here before, scouting out weapons and calculating how much I needed to save. Now, with my pockets full and a clear goal in mind, I was back to make my purchase.

"I'm here to buy a weapon," I said, glancing at the racks of swords and bows. "Something good."

Wagner nodded, setting the half-forged blade aside. "You've got the coin for it this time?" His tone was light, with a hint of amusement beneath it.

"Yeah, yeah, I do," I said, waving a hand. "Now, could you grab the Seasoned Hunter's Bow and the Fine Short Sword? 150,000 Mora total, right?"

Wagner gave a short nod before turning to the weapon racks. He moved with practiced ease, pulling down the bow first—polished wood, taut string, built for precision. Then, he grabbed the short sword, its blade gleaming under the forge's light. It was sharp and well-balanced, clearly meant for swift, controlled strikes rather than brute force.

He set them down on the counter with a solid thunk, crossing his arms. "You sure about these?"

I gave them a once-over, then nodded. "Yeah. They fit what I need."

Wagner grunted in approval. "Good choices. Solid craftsmanship. They'll serve you well if you take care of 'em."

I pulled out a pouch of Mora, the coins clinking together as I dropped it onto the counter. Wagner took it without a word, counting quickly before giving a satisfied nod.

With that settled, I grabbed my new weapons, feeling their weight in my hands. The bow was sturdy, the string smooth under my fingers. The sword, is light yet durable.

"Pleasure doing business," I said, slinging the bow over my back and securing the sword at my waist.

Wagner simply grunted, already turning back to his forge.

With my weapons in hand and my savings significantly lighter, I stepped out of the forge, letting the cooler air of Mondstadt brush past me, a big change from the heat created by the blacksmith's fire.

Now that that was done, it was time for the next step.

Adventurer time.

A/N, I got nothing. i hope you like it, I'm kinda getting writer's block sooo, might disappear for a bit soon.
