Never Ending Light

(The battlefield is in chaos—swords clashing, arrows flying, warriors screaming. Kael and Hong Sun fight back-to-back, their armor stained with dirt and blood.)

Hong Sun: "Damn it, Kael! How many of these guys are there?!"

Kael (grinning): "Enough to make this a good workout!" (He parries an enemy's attack and kicks him away.)

Hong Sun: "This isn't a training session, you maniac! If we don't push back, we're dead!"

(Kael blocks an incoming spear, breaks it with his sword, and slashes the enemy down. Hong Sun skewers another soldier before spinning to face Kael.)

Hong Sun: "Seriously, why are we the only ones handling this part of the battlefield? Where the hell is our backup?!"

Kael: "Probably running late. Typical."

(Suddenly, the ground trembles. A heavy presence fills the battlefield as a towering figure steps forward. Clad in dark armor, eyes glowing with malice—The Warlord has arrived.)

Warlord (chuckling): "Two little gnats still buzzing around? I expected more from the so-called warriors of this kingdom."

Hong Sun (panting): "Oh, great. The walking nightmare is here."

Kael (mocking): "You sure you're not lost? The old man's home is in the other direction."

(The Warlord smirks, raising his massive blade.)

Warlord: "Amusing. But humor won't save you from what's coming."

(In a flash, he vanishes and reappears behind them. Before they can react, an immense force erupts from his body, sending both Kael and Hong Sun flying.)

(Kael groans, struggling to stand. He looks toward Hong Sun—motionless, unconscious.)

Kael (muttering): "Sun...? Hey, wake up!" (He shakes him, but there's no response.)

Warlord (teleporting in front of Kael): "Ah... I see. You might be the one."

Kael (glaring): "The one? What nonsense are you spewing now?"

Warlord (smirking): "Not that it matters. You won't live long enough to find out."

(With brutal speed, he drives his foot into Kael's stomach, sending him crashing into the dirt. The world fades to black.)

(Kael wakes up in the castle's medical room, his body aching. He turns his head and finds Hong Sun lying beside him, still unconscious.)

Kael (clenching his fist): "...What the hell happened?"
