Chapter:8.2-Struggle To Wake

(Kael's body remains still, yet sweat beads on his forehead. His breathing grows uneven. The healers whisper among themselves, concern flickering in their eyes.)

Liza (worried, gripping her father's sleeve): "Father, please! He saved me! And the blade—it chose him! There's something special about him… we can't let him die!"

(Her father watches Kael for a long moment, then turns to the healers, his voice firm.)

Liza's Father: "Do whatever it takes. Keep him alive."

(The healers nod and immediately begin their work, chanting incantations, channeling their magic. However—)

(FWOOSH—!!!)

(A strange energy pulses from Kael's body, pushing the healers back slightly. Their magic does not take hold as easily as it should.)

Healer (shaken): "This… This isn't a normal injury. His body is resisting us."

Liza's Father (narrowing his eyes): "Resisting?"

(The head healer steps forward, pressing a glowing hand against Kael's chest. The moment he does, his face pales.)

Head Healer (whispering): "There's something inside him… something powerful."

Liza (clenching her fists): "That blade—it was no ordinary weapon. It was testing him."

(She turns to her father, her voice urgent.)

Liza: "Please, we have to keep trying!"

Liza's Father (calm but serious): "…We will."

(But even as the healers continue their work, Kael remains trapped in his unconscious state—locked in a battle only he can fight.)

Meanwhile… Inside Kael's Mind

(Kael feels like he's drowning in light and shadow at the same time. The presence from before—ancient, powerful—still lingers.)

??? (deep voice, echoing): "Endure, vessel."

(Kael grits his teeth as visions flicker before him—of a war, of a blade engulfed in both radiance and darkness. He doesn't understand what's happening. But one thing is clear.)

(If he doesn't fight his way back—he may never wake up again.)

Next: Can Kael overcome the power surging within him?
