CHAPTER 21

Sienna stood by the door, arms crossed as she watched Damian gather his things. He moved around the apartment with ease, shoving clothes into a duffel bag without much care. His phone buzzed on the table, and he glanced at it briefly before sighing.

"Guess that’s my cue," he muttered, zipping up his bag.

She swallowed, keeping her expression neutral. This was it. He was leaving. This was her chance.

Damian walked toward her, stopping just inches away. His gaze flickered over her face, his usual cocky smirk replaced with something softer, something she couldn’t quite name.

He reached for her, cupping the side of her face, his thumb brushing against her cheek. "I’ll miss you."

Sienna’s heart clenched, but she forced herself to roll her eyes, keeping it light. "You’re only going for the weekend. It’s not like you’re going to war."

His lips twitched. "Still."
