CHAPTER 31

The soft glow of the garden lights cast long shadows over the neatly trimmed hedges, and the scent of roses mixed with the crisp evening air. The sound of distant crickets provided a soothing backdrop to the quiet moment Sienna and Damian were sharing. Damian’s arms were securely wrapped around her waist as she sat on his lap, leaning against his chest, his warmth enveloping her.

But their peace was short-lived.

The distant hum of an approaching engine made Sienna perk up, a familiar excitement bubbling in her chest. She instantly recognized the car, a smile stretching across her lips.

Marco.

She quickly got off Damian’s lap, smoothing down her shirt, and turned toward the driveway just in time to see the headlights cut off. The car door swung open, and before Marco could even step out fully, she was already moving.

"Marco!" she called, running toward him.

He barely had time to react before she wrapped her arms around him, squeezing him tightly.
