Sienna stood in front of the mirror, staring at her reflection. She was dressed in black, the color of grief and loss. Her eyes were swollen from the crying she’d been doing all night, her makeup was smudged, but it didn’t matter. The funeral was imminent, and her heart ached in a way that felt like it would never stop. She wasn’t ready. She would never be ready to say goodbye to her grandfather, the man who had been the closest thing she’d had to a father since her parents’ death.
