An Unexpected Friend

What Katrina had just said was something that caught on so much Grace as Viktor by surprise. They didn't expect her to say that she was the guardian of the portal in their world, but after they stopped to think for a few minutes, they realized that everything that was being said really made a lot of sense. Just like in the human world, the supernatural side would also need a guardian to be able to protect the souls that roamed there.

The walk to Katrina's house was short-lived, very close to where they were. This created a little bug behind Grace's ear, if she lived so close to the cemetery and the little chapel, she must have been watching them since they arrived and chose to confront them when they found themselves in an enclosed space that was the center of the ghostly Cicury. Being a relatively small city, the center consisted of a wide street that did not pass cars, only pedestrians and those who paid to be able to pass through authorized streets.
