Elias parked the car in the cinema lot, turning to me with a mischievous grin. “So, it’s decided. We’re watching a horror movie.”

“Sure, why not?” I replied, hopping out of the car and stretching. The cold evening air nipped at my skin, but the thought of being inside a cozy theater dulled the chill.

“You can never have enough popcorn,” he said with a smug grin, as though it were a universal truth.

I laughed, shaking my head. “Yeah, sure. And I suppose you got tickets for this popcorn extravaganza of yours?”

“Don’t worry about it,” he said casually, not even looking at me.

My brows furrowed. “What do you mean, don’t worry about it?”
