DOCUMENT PURPOSE 

This document serves as the preliminary research findings on the paranatural entity designated EC-L-001 (hereafter "Leviathan"), a primordial being of unknown dimensional origin captured by the Director during [REDACTED] time period. This report consolidates observational data, documented capabilities, containment protocols, and research directives. 

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION 

EC-L-001 presents with a serpentine morphology measuring approximately 16.5 meters in length when fully extended. Its body consists of a substance that defies conventional material classification. Spectroscopic analysis indicates the entity's surface resembles obsidian in appearance but demonstrates properties more analogous to non-Newtonian fluid when subjected to external stimuli. 

The entity's outer layer is composed of what appears to be a constantly shifting, oil-like substance that simultaneously absorbs and reflects light, creating an iridescent pattern across its surface. These patterns are not static but seem to shift according to unclear variables, possibly related to the entity's cognitive or emotional state (see Section IV: Parapsychological Properties). 

The head structure features multiple rows of teeth-like protrusions that extend inward in recursive patterns, creating what researchers have termed an "infinite maw effect." When fully opened, the interior of this maw reveals a space that appears dimensionally inconsistent with the entity's external proportions. Spatial measurements indicate the interior volume exceeds exterior parameters by a factor of approximately 17.5. 

No evidence of conventional organ systems or biological functions has been observed. The entity does not appear to require oxygen, nutrition, or elimination processes as understood in terrestrial organisms. 

CONTAINMENT SPECIFICATIONS 

EC-L-001 is housed in the [REDACTED] Zero-Point Containment Chamber, a specialized facility constructed specifically for this entity. The chamber incorporates the following features: 

Geometric Stasis Field: A series of interlocking Hedron resonance amplifiers generating a continuous dimensional anchor point, preventing the entity from accessing or manipulating adjacent realities.

[REDACTED] Immersion Medium: The chamber is filled with a synthesized medium derived from Black Rock quarry materials, which appears to limit the entity's adaptive and regenerative capabilities.

Architecture: The chamber's structural design incorporates Chamber walls constructed of reinforced black stone obtained directly from the Quarry Threshold. Secondary containment shell featuring resonance-dampening alloys based on Hedron-derived research.

Interior dimensions of 60m × 40m × 30m with a central depression containing 1.7 million liters of saltwater mixed with trace elements matching primordial ocean Composition. 

Bleeding Edge Monitoring Systems: Modified HRA (Hedron Resonance Amplifier) technology has been adapted to create a monitoring system capable of tracking the entity's position and activity even when it attempts to phase between dimensional states. 

SECURITY PROTOCOLS: 

Chamber should be inspected bi-Weekly via remote monitoring systems.

 Physical inspection is permitted only with Director-level authorization and requires a minimum of two Ranger teams on standby.

In the event of containment breach, immediate lockdown of the Foundation sector is to be implemented, followed by Hedron resonance flooding of all adjacent sectors. 

Research staff must maintain a minimum distance of 3 meters from the containment barrier at all times and wear Modified HRAs. 

ENTITY PROPERTIES & CAPABILITIES 

EC-L-001 demonstrates numerous paranatural abilities that classify it as one of the most dangerous entities currently contained within the Bureau. These capabilities include but are not limited to: 

Adaptive Regeneration

The entity can rapidly heal from physical trauma, reconstructing damaged tissue within minutes. This regeneration appears to incorporate information from the damaging source, potentially allowing the entity to develop resistance to repeated applications of the same force. Tested Weapon's effectiveness decreased by approximately 32% between the first and third applications during initial containment. 

Matter Assimilation

When permitted to consume organic or inorganic matter, EC-L-001 demonstrates the ability to absorb and incorporate the properties of the consumed material. In contained testing with Bureau-approved materials, the entity assimilated the resonant frequency of a piece of Black Rock, temporarily allowing it to disrupt monitoring equipment tuned to the same frequency.(See Incident 108-02-931) 

Dimensional Phasing

Though currently suppressed by containment measures, the entity has demonstrated the ability to partially shift between dimensional planes. During these events, portions of its body become intangible or appear to "exist elsewhere" while maintaining physical presence in our reality. 

Telepathic Capabilities

Proximity to EC-L-001 induces psychological effects in human subjects, including: 

Increased appetite and consumption behaviors

 Fixation on concepts such as "Weakness of the flesh" or "evolving" 

Intrusive thoughts described as "hunger that goes beyond eating"

 In three cases, researchers reported dreams of "swimming through stars" 

Reality Distortion

In instances of extreme agitation, EC-L-001 generates localized reality distortions similar to AWE phenomena. These distortions manifest as: 

Temporary inversion of gravitational forces 

Spontaneous liquefaction of solid materials

 Brief temporal anomalies

 Perception-altering effects where observers report seeing "inside" physical objects 

Mimicry & Assimilation

Entity can perfectly replicate consumed matter, including complex biological forms. Evidence suggests the ability to access memories and abilities of consumed subjects. This ability appears constrained within containment conditions but remains a significant concern should containment be compromised. 

Shape Shifting

Entity can reconfigure their physical form at will, demonstrating fluidity between solid, liquid, and gaseous states. Transformation speed is near-instantaneous. 

FEEDING PROTOCOL 

Following multiple containment stress events attributed to "hunger response," a regulated feeding protocol has been established: 

SCHEDULE: Feeding occurs every 72 hours at precisely 03:17 local time 

APPROVED FEED MATERIALS: 

Base organic matter (specifically lab-grown tissue cultures) - 200kg per feeding

 Inorganic compounds from approved list (see Addendum A) - 50kg per feeding 

[REDACTED] organic matter - 25 kg per feeding 

Deep-sea biomatter collected from oceanic trenches or Lab grown. - 400kg per feeding

DELIVERY METHOD: All materials are placed on the automated feeding platform and introduced via temporary threshold entrance. Direct personnel interaction during feeding is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. 

ORIGIN HYPOTHESIS 

Based on dimensional resonance analysis and cross-referenced paranatural signatures, Research Team Umbra proposes that EC-L-001 originates from a [REDACTED] -creation dimensional space. 

The entity appears to be one of similar beings created during what theoretical physicist Dr. Yoshimi Tokui has termed "The First Balance" - a hypothesized cosmic event where primordial forces merged to form self-sustaining entities capable of adaptation and consumption. 

Paranatural signature analysis indicates EC-L-001 contains harmonic resonances consistent with opposing fundamental forces, suggesting it was deliberately designed entity rather than naturally occurring. This dual-nature composition may explain its extraordinary adaptive capabilities and dimensional instability. 

Carbon dating and resonance decay measurement suggest the entity is approximately [DATA EXPUNGED BY ORDER OF THE DIRECTOR]. 

RESEARCH DIRECTIVES 

The following research priorities have been established: 

Containment Efficacy Assessment: Continued monitoring of containment systems with particular attention to adaptation attempts against current measures. 

Communication Protocol Development: Research Team Umbra is tasked with developing potential methods of communication with EC-L-001, with emphasis on establishing whether the entity possesses the ability to contact others of it species. 

Frequency Mapping: Complete spectral analysis of the entity's dimensional signature to better understand its origin and potentially develop more effective containment technologies.

 Counter-Assimilation Protocols: Development of materials resistant to the entity's assimilation ability for potential use in improved containment or defensive measures. 

INCIDENT LOG 

10/17/XXXX - First successful tissue sample acquisition. Researcher Hayes suffered minor injuries when sample temporarily animated and attempted to rejoin the main entity. Sample subsequently deteriorated into inert black fluid when separated from the entity beyond 20 meters. 

10/23/XXXX - Researcher Park reported dreams containing vivid images of "endless oceans filled with entities like living mountains" for three consecutive nights after 30-minute observation session. Similar dreams reported by seven other staff members with proximity to containment area. (Rotation and Decontamination period has been created, see attachment E.5.2) 

02/02/XXXX - Entity displayed previously undocumented behavior, arranging its form into what Research Team Umbra described as "geometric shapes with impossible angles." Video documentation revealed these shapes closely resembled abstract representations with unknown Assocation/meaning. 

11/14/XXXX - Containment breach attempt. Entity partially phased through the northern containment barrier before Hedron resonance amplification forced complete re-materialization. Quarantine protocols implemented for 72 hours. No further breach attempts recorded. 

08/28/XXXX - Head Janitor Ahti observed speaking to the entity through containment barrier. Security footage shows one-way conversation lasting approximately 6 minutes. When questioned, Ahti stated, "Just telling the big fish some old stories. Everyone gets homesick, even those from nowhere." Enhanced monitoring of Head Janitor Ahti's interactions with EC-L-001 has been implemented.
