Emma stood at the edge of the Valley of Whispers, the Amethyst Stone pulsing in her hand.
Four stones. Only two remained.
And the Eclipse King was waiting.
Rahi adjusted his grip on his dagger. "So… what's the plan? Walk in and hope he doesn't have another army ready to kill us?"
Emma exhaled. "We don't have a choice. He won't wait forever."
They had barely taken a step forward when the sky darkened.
A chilling wind swept through the valley, and a shimmering portal tore open before them.
And from it—the Eclipse King emerged.
But he wasn't alone.
Beside him stood a woman draped in dark robes, her silver eyes eerily familiar.
Emma's breath caught. "Who…?"
The Eclipse King smiled. "Emma, meet Selene—the true heir of the stones."
Emma's pulse pounded.
"True heir?"
Selene stepped forward, her gaze calm. "You were never meant to have the stones, Emma."
The ground trembled.
Selene raised her hand—and suddenly, the stones in Emma's grasp burned.
Emma gasped, pain shooting through her arm.
Selene's voice was soft, yet merciless. "Give them to me."
Emma clenched her jaw. "No."
The Eclipse King sighed. "Then we do this the hard way."
And the final battle began.
The Final Battle
Selene moved first, vanishing in a blur of shadow and light.
Emma barely had time to react before a surge of energy slammed into her, sending her flying backward.
Rahi cursed, diving forward to block another attack, but the Eclipse King stopped him mid-air, freezing him in place with a flick of his wrist.
Emma struggled to her feet, summoning the power of the stones.
The Sapphire Stone called forth a crashing wave—
The Topaz Stone sent sparks of golden lightning through the air—
The Emerald Stone made the ground erupt with vines.
But Selene—she absorbed it all.
Emma's breath hitched. "How…?"
Selene's eyes glowed. "I told you. The stones were never yours to wield."
She raised her hands—and for the first time, Emma felt it.
The power of the last two stones—Ruby and Obsidian.
Selene had already claimed them.
She was complete.
Emma gritted her teeth. "Then I'll just have to take them back."
She charged, the stones in her grip flaring with raw energy.
Selene met her head-on.
Light clashed against darkness.
The ground shattered beneath them.
The sky cracked open.
And for the first time—Emma felt the truth.
This wasn't a fight about power.
It was a fight about who she chose to be.
