Chapter 140: The Man in the Shadows

Rolex walked forward with the confidence of a man who had never feared death. His sharp eyes scanned the room, landing on Ochieng.

"You've been playing the wrong game, Ochieng," Rolex said, adjusting the gold cufflinks on his sleeves. "The people who want you gone aren't just businessmen. They're something far worse."

Ochieng crossed his arms. "Then talk."

Rolex smirked. "The one who ordered the attack on your estate is a ghost—someone who operates from the shadows so deeply that even saying his name is dangerous. But I'll give you a clue... You've already met him."

Silence fell over the room.

Linet's eyes narrowed. "That's impossible. We've vetted every major player in this war."

Rolex chuckled. "Then you haven't been looking hard enough."

Jeff stepped forward. "Give us a name, Rolex. Or we'll get it out of you the hard way."

Rolex merely smiled. "Now, now, Jeff. Violence doesn't suit you. But if you must know... The man behind this?" He leaned in closer. "It's someone from your past, Ochieng. Someone you trusted."

Ochieng's fingers curled into fists. "You expect me to believe this without proof?"

Rolex's smirk deepened. "Check your accounts. Check your allies. Someone has been leaking information. And the name? Well..." He turned toward the door. "You'll find out soon enough."

The doors swung open, and a tall figure stepped in. The room tensed.

It was Brian.

The same Brian who had mocked Ochieng. The same Brian who had stood against him in school. And yet, there he was, dressed in a dark suit, looking every bit the enemy Ochieng never saw coming.

"Hello, old friend," Brian said with a slow, mocking grin. "It's been a while."

Ochieng's blood ran cold.
