Chapter 181: Blood for Blood

Ochieng's grip on the phone was iron-clad, his breathing slow but seething with rage. The mention of Rolex's name alongside Lucy's kidnapping sent a tidal wave of fury coursing through his veins.

Shalom remained silent on the other end, awaiting orders.

"Where was she taken?" Ochieng's voice was quiet—too quiet. The kind of quiet that promised a storm.

"Her last known location was the Avalon Hotel," Shalom replied. "She was with Paul and Walter before she disappeared. They were ambushed, boss. Paul barely made it out alive."

Ochieng's jaw clenched. Rolex had crossed the line.

"Get everyone ready. We're moving out in ten minutes," Ochieng commanded.

Shalom hesitated. "Boss… what if this is a trap?"

Ochieng's lips curled into a deadly smirk. "Then we'll burn the whole trap down with them inside."

---

Lucy sat in a dimly lit room, her wrists bound, a thin trickle of blood running down her temple. She had fought like a lioness when they grabbed her, but the numbers had been against her.

Now, she was staring at Brian, the man who had once mocked Ochieng, now standing before her with a sadistic grin.

"You know," Brian mused, "for someone close to Ochieng, you're surprisingly weak."

Lucy's dark eyes burned with fury. "Let me out of these ropes, and we'll see who's weak."

Brian laughed. "Feisty. No wonder Ochieng keeps you around. But he's not coming for you, sweetheart. He's too busy playing king."

Lucy smirked. "Then why are you so scared?"

Brian's grin faltered.

Just then, the door burst open, and Rolex walked in, exuding an aura of pure menace.

"You're enjoying yourself too much, Brian," Rolex said coldly. "We don't have time for games."

Brian straightened. "What's the plan?"

Rolex's smile was razor-sharp. "We make Ochieng bleed. And we start with her."

---

The city lights blurred past as Ochieng's convoy cut through the streets like a knife. Inside the lead SUV, Ochieng sat with Victoria, Gideon, and Eugene. The tension was thick.

"You sure about this?" Victoria asked, loading a gun.

Ochieng's eyes were pools of darkness. "He took Lucy. There's no coming back from that."

Gideon cracked his knuckles. "Let's kill the bastard."

As they neared the hideout, Ochieng's phone buzzed. An unknown number.

He answered. "Speak."

A chilling laugh echoed through the receiver. Rolex.

"Hello, Ochieng. You're really predictable, you know that?"

Ochieng's grip tightened. "Where is she?"

Rolex chuckled. "She's right here. Wanna say hi, Lucy?"

A muffled scream.

Ochieng's blood turned to ice.

"Listen, Ochieng," Rolex continued. "You've been a thorn in my side for too long. So, I've decided to put an end to this little game. You have one hour to show up alone… or Lucy dies."

Click.

Silence.

Victoria exhaled. "It's a trap."

Ochieng's voice was razor-sharp. "I don't care."

And with that, the war was set in motion.
