Chapter 188: The First Strike

The tension in The Obsidian Club was razor-sharp. Ochieng could feel the weight of a hundred eyes on them, watching, waiting for the first move.

Shalom's emerald-green eyes gleamed with amusement, but there was an underlying warning in them. "You don't understand what you're dealing with, Ochieng."

Celestine exhaled sharply. "We never do until it's too late."

Eugene Rolex, the enforcer of The Architect, hadn't moved from his seat. He was a man who didn't react to threats—he eliminated them before they fully materialized.

Ochieng slid his drink aside, his voice measured. "You work for The Architect. Tell me, where is he?"

Eugene smirked. "If I knew, I wouldn't be alive, would I?"

Before another word was spoken, the club doors burst open.

A storm of men in black suits flooded in—guns raised, movements precise. The Ivory Fang Syndicate. One of the deadliest underground organizations in Valdoria.

A tall man, his presence exuding lethal authority, stepped forward. His name was Gideon Shadowfang, the leader of The Ivory Fang. His voice was like steel grinding against stone.

"You should have stayed in your lane, Ochieng."

Before anyone could react, bullets ripped through the air.

Chaos erupted.

Celestine flipped the table for cover, Felix pulled out twin revolvers, and Isabella moved like a shadow, slashing through enemies with a hidden dagger.

Ochieng lunged at Eugene, grabbing him by the collar. "You're coming with me."

Eugene laughed, unfazed. "You still don't get it, do you?"

A second later, the entire club exploded into flames.
