"Shit!" Petra cursed. "She's too fast!"

I clenched my jaw. If we fight her like this, we're dead.

Petra looked stricken. "What about Eren?!"

"He can handle himself! We need to cut off those incoming Titans, or we're all screwed!"

I checked my quest log. The objective hadn't changed. That meant we still had a chance.

"Eren! Focus on her! We'll handle the rest!" I shouted, already launching toward the nearest incoming Titan.

I met his gaze. "We're not winning this, are we?"

His eyes were hard, unreadable. "Not today. But we can still get Eren back."

I nodded. "Then let's make it count."

The battle raged on, each second stretching into eternity. The stakes had never been higher.
